We were a party of 5 & the restaurant was packed. I put my name on the list to wait for a regular table as 4 of us had been there once before & sat at the hibachi table but there was over an hour wait. Once seated I told the waiter it was my daughter’s birthday & he nodded that he understood. He never said what, if anything, they do for birthdays. To start our meal we ordered 3 sushi rolls for the table as you see in the photo. I’m not sure why but not one of the sushi pieces could be picked up without it falling apart! Very disappointed in that. The rice wasn’t sticky was our guess. We all ordered different types of hibachi & I requested “broccoli only, well done” which it wasn’t & I sent it back but when it was brought back to the table it was still not cooked the way I wanted it so I just didn’t eat it. This experience was a far cry from our first experience & sadly, I’m not sure if we’ll return as there doesn’t appear to be consistency.

After reading the reviews I expected to get great food, but have to wait a little while. Upon arrival (about 3pm on a Sunday) table seating was immediately available but we chose to wait 30 minutes for the hibachi. When seated, keeping the reviews in mind and knowing I was hungry, I ordered sushi and hibachi knowing I would get the sushi soon. The sushi was wonderful and fresh. I shared the sushi roll with my daughters and it made a great appetizer in addition to the soup and salad. It was about 4:00-4:10 when our hibachi chef was ready to prepare our food. He was extremely talented and entertaining. Our family frequents a variety of Japanese hibachi grills all over the South East. This is one of the best we have been to. The food is so delicious it is worth the wait and we will definitely be back. If you have the option to wait for the hibachi.... do it. It's worth it. I attached pictures we took of the menu.

I am not a Karen, I never complain if my order is wrong or send something back. And never in my 35years have I left a restaurant before I got my food, but today I did! I took one sip of the soup and didn’t like it, no biggie. Went to eat my salad and saw my boyfriend trying to clean his fork, looked at my own to find dried food as well. After cleaning my fork as well as I could with my napkin I took a bite of the salad in which the ginger dressing tasted rotten and I spit it in my napkin. Looking around, waiting on the food to be started I wasn’t thrilled about the overall cleanliness or appearance of other people’s food. But when the people at the grill next to us got up to leave with their not service dog… I was done. We went to the desk, offered to pay for our drinks, soup, salad which they declined and left. Definitely would have been a waste of every dime we spent there if we would have stayed!

I've been here twice and both experiences were totally AWFUL. In fact they were probably the two worst dining experiences I've ever had in regards to the mistreatment I incurred and the lack of even basic service being provided. The first time they kept seating quite a few parties before me because I was by myself. Then once I was finally seated, they proceeded to move me from one table to another. The owners and operators have absolutely ZERO respect and appreciation for their customers. They treat their customers like complete trash. This sort of musical chairs experience to be seated and served was insanely stressful and disappointing.

I decided to give them another chance and the second experience was equally as bad. This time they decided they'd overcharge our party thinking we would just dutifully pay the amount. I have no doubt that this was intentional and they were extraordinarily rude when asked to correct it and nearly refused. The food is mediocre at best and there are far better Japanese restaurants in the area that do not mistreat their customers. The owners and operators of this entirely DETESTABLE establishment lack even the most basic morals. They abuse and attempt to take advantage of their customers. They DISGUST me to the highest degree.

Avoid at all costs. While there I saw middle-aged people and families around me getting treated fine. But for some reason I was treated like total trash. They favor certain customers and others are treated like scoundrels. I highly suspect that younger customers are the ones that get treated in this poor manner, which is not remotely acceptable. Their worthless employees I'm assuming have all these preconceived notions about the habits of young customers. Mistreating those customers on such a basis is NEVER acceptable and as persons of Japanese or East Asian ancestry, they should be incredibly ashamed of their UNACCEPTABLE actions. I can't say enough truthfully negative things about this place. Save yourself and go elsewhere. I know I wish I had. I don't prefer to be treated like dirt, which is what occured here. The service is so lacking in quality it will astound you. Please take head and avoid this place and the scumbags that run it, from the servers to the person at the register.

I sincerely hope they've resolved these most serious issues and that it's now a place where all customers are...

My whole family came here for lunch on vacation and this place was very underwhelming. This place has pretty good reviews but we didn't like it at all. First of all, the service. Our portions came with a salad and we told the server that we want creamy ginger sauce and they brought us minced ginger instead. Then, we asked a different server to change it because our server was nowhere to be seen. Also, the veggies in the salad tasted frozen, or anything except fresh. They had a very bitter taste to them. We all ordered a variation of the early-bird special hibachi. Most of us got the ribeye hibachi which came with a "chicken broth soup," the salad that I referred to earlier, and a 2 shrimp "appetizer." The soup tasted like store-bought broth and honestly was not flavorful enough for us. Furthermore, although I know it was meant to taste very mild and plain, it really didn't taste good and needed something inside of it other than almost non-existent mushroom pieces and a ton of green onion. Then, the portion also came with a side which I switched out for broccoli as it was the best option I had to choose from, and it was horrible I couldn't eat it. The broccoli tasted frozen and came in very small bits. The "ribeye" was definitely not all ribeye. More than half of the steak had no fat at all and was tough to chew, while the other half had a fat pattern resembling a normal steak with minimal marbling. Most of the fat was on the side of the meat. The fried rice was okay. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing to write home about. The portions were pretty big, and the sauce on the meat was pretty good, but nothing special. The "2 shrimp appetizer" was also just 2 pieces of shrimp on top of the portion. The food didn't take too long to as arrive at our table which is pretty good though. Basically, the food was alright, the service was lackluster, and the restaurant was pretty undecorated...

What a complete and utter disappointment this place was. They only have 3 hibachi tables and only had 2 of them staffed. We opted to just sit at a regular table to avoid a 45 minute wait. The restaurant looks kind of dirty and run down. Service was worse than what you get at the neighborhood 10-minute chinese to-go places. Then the food came and it somehow got worse. The "soup" is just chicken broth with a few green onion pieces and some fried onion pieces (think green bean casserole topping). The "salad" was a little iceberg lettuce and a few small strips of carrot that had been absolutely drowned in some kind of sweet, watery, mostly-flavorless dressing that was supposed to be their ginger dressing. When the main courses came out, it didn't get any better. The chicken was overcooked by about 5 minutes. The shrimp was cooked until it was practically rubber. The steak was cooked properly, but the only flavor on the meats was whatever cheap "teriyaki" sauce they doused all over the plate. The vegetables were cooked to the point they were mush and the fried rice was just rice and soy. About 3 bites in the server came back and asked if we wanted boxes. We all gave up after getting a few more bites in. The server came back and offered boxes again even though our plates were all over half full still. I said "no thanks, this wasn't good enough to want to eat it twice". She just said "okay, I'll get the bill". No questions, no apology, nothing. In sum: don't waste your money here. The food is gross and the service...
