I didn't visit this place and I probably never will given that I have no business or interest in this town or ice cream shop. But I DID come to google maps to read the reviews and I gotta say, thank you for the entertainment. This is EXACTLY what I was expecting. I don't think there are many impartial and objective reviews here given the recent news coverage. As a person who has trouble hearing people when they talk I understand the owner's frustration with trying to take orders through plexiglass from people wearing masks. People, as a whole, mumble and grunt their way through communicating with service workers and masks don't make it any easier. Yet at the same time a business owner's success depends largely on their ability to serve their customers and if this business owner can't do that, maybe it's time to find another line of work? Restaurants are noisy places because there is a lot of equipment running in the background: HVAC-R, blenders, video games or pinball machines, dishwashers, a TV or radio, possibly live music, a cash register. Not to mention the reality that restaurants have lots of flat walls that reflect and intensify sound. Add in many patrons shouting to be heard over each other because nobody can use 'indoor voices' anymore and you have a recipe for hearing loss and frustration. But I love the fact that this proud american, rather than actively do anything to mitigate any issues that makes it difficult for him to hear and satisfy his customers, chose to selfishly stick by his guns and send a family away unhappy. The viral internet fame will more than make up for the loss of 3 sales, cuz the internet gives power to...
Read moreBEWARE !!!! the owner who is also the only worker is EXTREMELY RUDE and we will NEVER be returning. I asked for a cup for my ice cream so my girls and I wouldn't drip all over ourselves and the cone, and he NEVER said that he would be charging for a cup. Between his horrible attitude and lack of professionalism we will never go back to Kountry Kreamery We paid almost $30 for three ice creams and I could have had better quality from Kroger.
Reply to Owner: For someone who is a "owner" I suggest that YOU get your story straight, you specifically said that you charged for our cups, not the cone. Do you know how many people get a cone that they flip into a cup so it doesn't drip all over them!? Specifically your ice cream since it melted within seconds because your ice cream was incredibly soft and you don't keep your freezers on the proper temperature because you're too cheap! For those of you who like soup rather than ice cream this...
Read moreGenuinely some of the most abhorrent rude service I have ever seen in the last 40 years living in this town. Based on the other reviews this seems to be the norm. The owner is a grouchy inhospitable man who really must not know a thing about southern hospitality. I don't understand how my daughter asking questions meant she wanted to catch attitude from him but hey what do I know. Not to mention the shop looked as nasty and dirty as the service was. The floor was dirty and it didn't look like the counters had been wiped down in years. Didn't make a purchase and I never intend to go back and I hope none of you put yourself through the displeasure of going here. If you're looking for a quality ice cream experience may I recommend the shop at the tower shops of the mountain mile. They're much kinder with cleaner conditions. I don't know how someone can be so miserable selling ice cream, but it was a truly...
