If Heaven had a dessert shop tucked into the Smoky Mountains, it would be Moonshine Mountain Cookie Company.

We stumbled into this place, in Pigeon Forge, expecting a quick sugar fix and left wondering if we should move in permanently. Y’all, the Raspberry Cheesecake ice cream was unbelievably delicious and perfectly tangy, and Nana’s Strawberry Cake ice cream? Don’t even get me started. It had actual chunks of homemade cake in it like someone’s Southern grandma got busy in the back with a mixing bowl and a prayer.

Now onto the cookies. Let me just say:

The Dolly Doodle is hands-down the best snickerdoodle I’ve ever had. Like if Dolly Parton herself whispered baking tips into the dough, that’d be it.

The Happy Pappy, an apple moonshine cookie, was dangerously good. Like, lock-your-doors good because you might drive back at midnight just to try to get more.

Berry White (white chocolate + strawberry) was our least favorite, which is like saying someone brought three puppies and one was slightly less cute than the others. Still delicious, still worth eating every crumb.

The cherry on top? The owners and staff were so kind and welcoming you’d think they’d known us forever. Southern hospitality with a sprinkle of sugar and a dash of moonshine.

My only complaint? The Tennessee Vols orange spoons. Really? Go Dores!

5/5 stars. Will absolutely be back. Might even bring my own...

I can’t say enough good things about this place! The ice cream is absolutely divine—creamy, rich, and packed with flavor in every scoop. From classic vanilla bean to unique creations like funky monkey which is bannana and cookies, every bite is pure bliss. The cookies are just as incredible—perfectly chewy, buttery, and baked fresh daily. I tried their snickers doodle and chocolate chip, and both were out-of-this-world delicious. What truly sets this shop apart is the service. The staff is so warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They let me sample flavors with a smile, offered great pairing suggestions. The atmosphere is cozy, clean, and inviting, making it the perfect spot to treat yourself or hang out with friends. This is hands-down the best ice cream and cookie experience I’ve ever had. I’m already looking forward to my next visit! Keep up the...

Tried this place out with my kids and grandkids. While the ice cream and cookies were good. We did have a few issues. There are no tables for kids, only barstools. Two of the grandkids touched the adjustable spindles on the stools which were greasy. Of course that ended up all over their clothes. No restroom in house( have to use mellow mushrooms next door) the staff, though one did bring out a rag to clean up my grandsons hand, none of them ever acknowledged the fact that their stools caused this nor did any of them apologize for that fact. The three ladies retreated to the backroom where we could hear them talking about us. My wife went to the counter to address that and one of the ladies made the rude toned comment of "Thank you, have a nice day!" This is a classic example of a good product being buried by poor business practices. We...

What a delightful day we had here!! HH (hungry hubby) and I loved the military honors that we received along with the coupon we had. The ice cream Cubbie Decker (big scoop with two cookies) YUM!!! HH had Butter Pecan ice with the amazing Salted Caramel cookies. I want the Raspberry cheesecake ice cream, was at a loss for which cookies. The sweet girl serving us suggested “John Lemon & blueberry “ cookie… it was perfect! We also happened to bring home a DOZEN cookies as well😉
