I am literally leaving this review from the parking lot of Lost Mine Coaster. It was that amazing, and I don’t want to put it off. I can’t speak for the mini-golf, because we didn’t play. But I can’t say we didn’t want to. It is so nicely designed and it’s new and the lighting on the course that we observed last night is bright and welcoming.
But we just did the mountain coaster, twice in a row. I am telling you, as people who have done at least five other mountain coasters, and people who go to Disney every single year, this is a must-do. In Disney, this would be known as an E-Ticket attraction. First of all, the ride is LONG. Lots of track, lots of time. It has plenty of thrill sections that left us happily whooping, and also slow pulley sections where you can appreciate the incredible attention to theming, which is uncommon in most mountain coasters. Actually the theming begins even before you get on the ride. It reminded my family of Big Thunder Mountain at Disney. It also takes you actually into the woods and also out into the open at the end, where you get incredible views of Pigeon Forge and the Smokies beyond.
Finally, the folks who work here seem genuinely to care about their jobs. They are friendly and helpful and not annoyed by the typical questions that seem to come up when people are figuring things out from the scanners/waivers to the ride car itself. Very smooth process, and very pleasant.
We have done many attractions in Pigeon Forge over the years, and I suspect this one has just risen to the...
Read moreThis was an absolute amazing experience!!! I’ve never been on a mountain coaster before never even knew they existed! My first experience was with lost mine mountain coaster! The staff here was very very nice felt like home! They were very helpful and very informative on what you were about to take yourself through lol! Everything was well explained and its rightful place and very beautiful views! The best part is you can control your speed so if you’re not a roller coaster person like myself no worries! I had my eight year-old son in the cart with me and he thoroughly enjoyed it! We got the package to do mini golf afterwards, even though it was cold, it even started snowing, we were having so much fun it didn’t matter! The facilities were very clean as well! my daughter and I are very big on stones and crystals, and they are undeniable options for you to purchase those here! I grabbed a MotherLoad bag of fossils stones and crystals for my daughter. The first day we came! I was a bit hesitant because I thought maybe there were a bunch of little stones in these bags of dirt , but for $25 you can’t beat what you get out of these bags ! I definitely went back and grabbed another one before we left !!! I don’t have one negative thing to say about this place! We will definitely come back and visit this place for sure. It’s highly...
Read moreWe cannot possibly recommend this place highly enough. The mini golf course is great with a whimsical bear and possum theme throughout; our six year old could not stop laughing at the statues and their antics throughout the course. Hole number 9 was by far our favorite; {spoiler alert} never have I ever hit a golf ball into the water on purpose, but what a fantastic gimmick! They also have a putting green at the beginning which is perfect for group photos, actual putting practice or killing time if there are groups in front of you.
In addition their mountain coaster is INCREDIBLE! We loved it so much we rode it during the day and then came back and rode it at night as well; (there is a great bundle pricing deal if you do this so we highly recommend.). The ride is long, there is both beautiful natural scenery and clever attractions to enjoy as you whiz by, and this coaster features new technology that allows the ride to be not only safer but more enjoyable. We also loved that we got to see photos of ourselves riding and definitely purchased the photo/video package.
Beyond the fun attractions though, the staff goes above and beyond to be incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and hospitable! Every single person we met was friendly and helpful and seemed to truly love their job. This place tops our...
