Visited the Pigeon Forge location of Firehouse Subs this afternoon (10 May, 2021) and their business was pretty much steady during the time of our visit. While they do have a limited number of four (4) seat tables available for seating/dining inside (total of six (6) available inside), they all stayed pretty much occupied, as well as a couple of the outdoor tables, while we were there. AND I'll applaud the staff because when diners at a table would vacate, someone was promptly there to clean and disinfect the table before it was used again. Kudos Firehouse Subs!
Got my usual fav, the Italian Sub 'fully involved', and today added the 5 Cheese Mac 'n Cheese as a side. The Italian Sub was it's usual wonderfully flavorful self. I've eaten at several locations of Firehouse Subs in multiple States and most of them produce a wonderful product, the Pigeon Forge location is among them. The 5 Cheese Mac 'n Cheese is good, but for the price I expect better. While it's not horrible, I've had a lot of Mac 'n Cheese that was much better.
Can't wait for things to return to a more normal as far as indoor dining goes so that this franchisee can take advantage of the extra indoor seating they have available, including the 'Bunkhouse' which was closed off today.
Wouldn't hesitate to return to this Firehouse Subs location to eat, and very well may do so while I'm...
Read moreWe are staying in the hotel right across the street from this restaurant and thought it would be a convenient, quick option for food. Our first night in town we ordered online and walked over to pick it up. We were missing 3 bags of Sunchips as well as 3 rice krispy treats. Whatever, no biggie. In order make sure that we weren't missing any items for a second time, 2 days later I physically went inside to order. I placed my order, and there were a few families in line behind me. The gentleman taking the orders waited until the clock hit 9pm and told the people in line behind me that they needed to leave because the store closes at 9pm. These families were in the restaurant, AND in line before 9pm. Why would you even let them stand in line if you had no intentions on serving them? Customer service is lacking severely! We got back to the hotel where I discovered that my daughters mac and cheese was more like a few macaroni noodles douse in white liquid. It was literally like SOUP! Speaking of soup, I didn't receive any crackers with my potato soup. Additionally, when my husband got down to a few bites left in his steak sub, he found 2 long black hairs literally MELTED into the cheese. It was absolutely DISGUSTING! I have no idea how this place gets any good reviews. For the prices they charge, their food and customer service should...
Read moreI'm a huge Firehouse fan. I absolutely adore the Italian fully involved with banana peppers. Today I visited the Firehouse subs in pigeon forge Tennessee. I don't know if it's the job market or what's happening recently with some eateries but there were certain things that I noticed here that I haven't seen at any Firehouse subs in the last bit. For one thing the floor was not cleaned well and definitely needed a good mopping. Tables were cleaned when people left, but it seemed that they were shorthanded and some things were not being cleaned properly. When I received my Italian sub, one end of the bun was narrower than the other end. I looked at my friends Italian sub and it was also narrower at one end. Also we both noticed that it did not seem to be stacked properly and stay on the bread as easily as normal. This was strange and just put me off a little bit but the flavor was still there and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm dropping my normal five-star review because of this down to four but it was still a great place to eat! I recommend if you're going by a Firehouse subs to stop in and eat the Italian sub and maybe try some other subs they have that you might...
