UPDATED REVIEW. Great customer service from owner.
After seeing my review below, the owner quickly reached out to me. When I spoke with the owner, Joe, on the phone I felt he was truly sorry that we had the billing experience that we had. With no delay he worked with me to take care of the situation and to make sure it doesn't happen for another guest. Having worked extensively in the hotel business myself he did everything I would have done to take care of a guest. He apologized for the billing experience, listened to the concerns and explained what he would be doing to hopefully not have this happen in the future. I was surprised he didn't mention the review at all when talking to him. I was expecting him to ask if I could edit my review but he never mentioned it. That alone told me he was sincere in wanting to make sure my family and I were taken care of. The only issue we had was billing. The hotel was clean and the staff (minus the one issue) were fantastic and friendly. Due to how Joe worked with a less than favorable situation we will definitely consider staying here again.
Original review - Deceitful pricing. My wife and friend took our kids for a weekend and stayed two nights. They called ahead and booked at $125 for one night and $145 for the second night. This equals $270.00 + 12.5% ($33.75) sales and motel tax comes out to $303.75. When they arrived the hotel worker gave them a bill for $368.15. it was 9pm with 5 kids so they stayed versus trying to make a change that late at night. When they asked for an itemized bill to see why the difference the desk worker said that's all we have.
We will not stay there again due to this. The employees they encountered were nice but billing was not...
Read moreI stayed here again this week after staying elsewhere for about six years or so. The location is excellent and within walking distance to so many attractions, shops and restaurants. It is right next to The Island but quiet. The employees, especially Zack, were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is to-go back to your room or wherever you want to take it, which I was fine with. I only used this service one morning and it was fine. Clean and cheap rates for this time of year($79 per night for a king bed and jacuzzi). Pretty quiet for being right in the middle of town. As a solo female traveler, I really appreciate the well-lit back parking lot. The cable worked just fine for me. The wifi didn't work on my phone but worked great connecting with my Kindle Fire tablet. There is a sign at check-in warning they can't guarantee wifi. The cons of my stay: the shower curtain is way too long for the shower and I kept stepping on it and the corner kept covering the drain which was slow draining. The shower heads seem lower than most so if you're taller than 5'6" or so you may have to bend down to rinse your hair. I'm 5'3" and still felt too tall. The curtain was also starting to get mildew on it toward the bottom. The fridge froze my drinks and leftover food the first night. The curtains still let quite a bit of light in. I know these things are minor and personal preference, but they won't prevent me from staying here again in the future. Overall, this hotel has been a locally owned staple for many years and I would totally recommend...

The front desk isn't rude but they could use a few customer service pointers. You can tell that working at the front desk of a hotel isn't their dream job. Pro tip: front desk for some reason is easily annoyed, We've seen this happen multiple times. We've learned to check-in and out as quickly as possible to avoid having to deal with them getting annoyed.
Room's have been as clean as you can expect from an aging hotel. Being in a room makes you feel as if you are visiting Pigeon Forge in the mid-80s. We stayed for a three-night stay just last month. Our main issue was that the entry light kept flickering and buzzing. We asked to have the light changed because it was very annoying as you might guess. At the end of each day, we hoped to come in to find the light changed to no avail.
You will have no problem getting up in the mornings because the beds are like sleeping on top of springs. You don't really notice it when you lay down because we were worn out from a day of running around. But in the mornings your entire body is killing you. Lastly, the bathrooms have seen better days but again they were clean as you would expect for the shape they were in.
The hotel isn't all bad though. Location and price can't be beaten. And if you have a family it's probably one of the best values in the area. But as we continue to go to Pigeon Forge for weekend trips we are starting to find that the lack of quality of the hotel is outweighing the...
