Reme's Restaurant — Restaurant in Plainfield

My wife and I began by getting breakfast here one morning and we're completely blown away at how delicious the food was! Everything! We ordered half a dozen biscuits and 12 pieces of bacon alongside a whopping western omelette that was so tantalizing to our taste buds! The whole meal just really hit the spot! We were so impressed by how soft the biscuits were, usually anywhere you get biscuits, they have some burn on them or a hard crusty top, they're never just perfect, not at Reme's! We went back in to ask what his special secret was about getting the biscuits so perfect all over and so soft and absolutely delicious? And we were correct in assuming he does have a secret! One that he refuses to unveil! Which I can't blame him for at all. If you could make something that good that was better than all the rest, would you just tell everyone who came asking? So we continued eating breakfast there on a regular basis so much that he would come out to meet us and thank us for our patronage. Very polite service and this man who owns this place, is so proud of his menu and so appreciative of his customers, that he will go out of his way to come out and greet you and likes to meet the people he is preparing their food for. So not only is the food amazing, their service is beyond reproach! Wonderful waitresses with very kind outgoing personalities. Then one day last week, one of the waitresses commented to us, "Have you ever tried our pizza? We said no, we didn't even know they had pizza as all we ever got was breakfast. The waitress informed us with a burst of excitement, " Oh you have got to try it! I was extremely excited now, because I am a huge pizza lover!!! And if I find a pizza I haven't tried yet that's supposed to be really good, I get overwhelmed with excitement! Well, long story short, well it's already a long story, lol. This pizza was the most amazing, delicious, fresh, perfect pizza I've ever had! Yes#1 over Rockstar in brownsburg, yes #1 over Donatos, I mean they blew away them all! Dominoes, Pizza Hut, Papa John's, you name it, they can't hold a candle next to Reme's pizza! It will simply melt the candle down to nothing...

5 stars for real. We are from Chicagoland and its cut right, proper 3 day crust, fennel sausage placed raw and cooked to perfection... the works. This is what real Chicago tavern style pizza tastes like. We got the sausage and pepperoni, as is standard for a first try

Inside was nice, they have the good Mexican Coca-Cola to go with it. We got it for carryout. This pizza for Chicagoland is probably an 8.5 out of 10 for super nitpicky reasons (mostly because its not my neighborhoods exact recipe) , but reminds me of all the good taverns.

This pizza for Plainfield and Indianapolis its a 12 or 13. High quality ingredients and blows the Chicago franchise in downtown Indy out of the water, as most real Chicago pizza places do :D

I recommend everyone in town try it at least once, there is nothing even close to this in town (the one that uses chicago in its name is nothing you would get up north at all). I don't think you will be disappointed in the slightest... maybe with enough business we can start getting delivery :)

The owner needs a lesson in customer service. I ordered from the menu and I was informed that the restaurant was out of what I ordered (steak). I was offered two other options and decided to choose one of the options offered to me. When we received the bill, he had changed the price of my meal. I asked the server about the fact that the meal price had changed and she wasn't even aware of the change until I brought it to her attention. I asked her to talk to the manager about the fact that the amount had changed and nothing was mentioned previously of a change in price. The manager/owner came to our table and said that it was a "much more expensive cut of meat and that it isn't even on the menu, they had ordered it for themselves." Don't under order supplies for your business, then offer a substitution and then charge more for it without telling the customer beforehand and then when confronted say there is nothing you can do and that I have to pay the difference. ONE AND DONE. We will not be going back. Food...
