La Michoacana Ice Cream — Restaurant in Plant City

I visit this shopping center often for Marshalls and Michaels and noticed this ice cream shop at the other end of the plaza on my last visit. I don't know if it's been there a while and I'm just oblivious or if it's a new addition to the shopping center?! But I made a mental note to try it on my next visit and today was the day! When I walked in, it had that sweet beloved ice cream shop aroma. And it was noticably clean, bright and colorfully welcoming! I loved all the pinatas and banners hanging from the ceiling, the large seating area and the variety of sweet and savory snacks.

This frozen treat shop was definitely more than just your average ice cream shop. They offer eclectic sweet treats like ice cream with churros, chocolate covered frozen bananas, aqua fresca, fresh fruit popsicles, mangonada and banana splits as well as savory treats like french fries, Dorilocos, chicarones, nachos & hot Cheetos to name a few (checkout the menus I posted as well!). They had an appealing array of hard ice cream choices. Including my all time favorite childhood favorite flavor like bubblegum ice cream! This way favorite ice cream store UNTIL TODAY. I drive from Tampa sometimes twice a week and spend lots of money on the popsicles. I buy them 10 or 20 at a time. Today I called the store prior to driving there to see if they had at least 20 watermelon popsicles and they did. The lady that answered the phone asked me if i was the lady that comes to buy them in bulk. I said yes. I arrived at the store 45 min before closing and wanted to use the restroom and wash my hands. They refused to let me use the restroom because they had cleaned it and it was closed for the evening. I find it hard to believe the owner allows the employees to shut down the restroom 45 min before closing. Customers were in there eating. What if anyone wanted to wash their hands? I had to go to winn dixie to use the restroom. I came back to ask Vita who the owner was and she told me Willie, I believe. No phone number was provided and she said he won't be there for a while. This place is now undesirable and I will tell all the people I've referred there...

We ordered and we were with someone, they rung the person we were with and then the little girl just left the register, we assumed she was coming back. But nope she never did. She went to take other customers orders. Then another employee came to the register and just basically told us to move out the way and didn't ask if we were waiting and rang up his customers. I told the boy that we were there first and have been waiting to pay and he ignored us and rang up his customer and the customer was like im sorry I didnt know, but no apology from the employee. And he didn't even ask us anything. Then the NEXT employee came with her customer and didn't ask us anything, and then i told her excuse me we were here first were waiting to pay. And then she had the audacity to also tell the other customer to go in front of us and ring him up. These workers need retraining, know nothing about...
