I really enjoyed the two meat plate. The chopped brisket was fantastic, and the pulled pork was very good! I had the red beans and rice for a side and it had good sized pieces of the smoked sausage it it, which just made it that much better. I highly recommend you visit this restaurant! Edit: Went back again and had a really good time! The ribs were super, and I loved my salad. My husband and I will keep coming back. It’s close to my job and easy to get in and out with your order. It’s rare that you find a place that you can count on having consistently good food and service, but R & R is one of those places. One of these pics is my husband being a complete goofball, lol! Edit; I went back on 1/23/20 to try something new. This time I got the smoked chicken thighs. I don’t normally like thighs, but these were pretty good. I also got the onion rings. They were ok, but very greasy. I think if the oil was a little hotter, this could be avoided. The batter was very nice though; it was almost like a tempura consistency. One thing to note if you’re Keto; I asked the manager, and ALL of the sauces have sugar in them, and there’s no hot sauce other than buffalo available, so either get them to go and use your own sauce or bring a bottle with you. It’s a shame that at least one of their sauces aren’t sugar free, as most of the meats don’t have any sugar in them at all. That being said, everyone that works here is pretty friendly, but I have to give a big shout out to Jacob. He was super nice, and made it a point to say something to everyone as they were leaving, and was always working. I’ll definitely be back!

Came here for brunch as soon as it opened at 11am - I think it’s the best time to go! We were warmly greeted by the staff as we were the first patrons to show up for lunch. We ordered the 2 meat plate, which included chicken and pulled pork, had a roll on the side as well as onion rings. We also ordered the brisket tacos which came two per order. At first I thought 2 tacos are not going to fill me up - but don’t underestimate their taco plate - it was filled with brisket and it was filling! We also ordered half dozen chicken wings (BBQ style) with a side of blue cheese dressing. They were tasty and pretty darn good! Now this is what truly gave my review a five-star rating - the manager Ben! Ben was truly a delight to deal with, so sweet and personable, that he was truly the highlight of our experience there today. He brought our food to our table, came back and did a two-minute check (lingo for servers and who were past servers in their job history) and was just as genuine as they come. I also noticed, he went to other tables checking on them to make sure their food was to customer standards - I was just touched by his efforts, and made us feel really welcomed! Yes , the food is fantastic, but it’s truly the customer service in an establishment that will make me keep coming back to a venue. Well done R&R - you’ve got a golden star (five actually!) with Ben as part of your pit crew!

Bad Bun Alert 🚨 I hate giving this place a bad review. I hope it’s temporary and things improve. This R&R location has always provided great service and good food. But they recently changed their burger and sandwich buns...and they’re really bad. I wonder if they got them at Macey’s? They’re dry and they disintegrate while you’re eating. They used to have buns that had substance to them and were kind of...dare I say???...moist. They were the buns that used to come with hamburgers but not with pulled pork sandwiches. But when we got a pulled pork sandwich, we’d ask to substitute that bun with the hamburger bun. But now, all buns are the same, less than mediocre, styrofoam-textured grossness. Please get better buns. They’re so bad it distracts from the meat. And 3/3 of us had the disintegrating bun experience. Update: I gave them another star for better food and better buns. But why do you need to have the AC on in January? The AC was blowing so much, you could see our napkins move in the breeze. We could not eat our food fast enough before it became cold. Maybe it’s time to invest in two AC zones: one for the kitchen and one for the guests.

I love the barbecue food at R&R. I’ve been coming here for a few years now - since they hit the Utah scene. Tonight when I stopped in, I ordered three meals that ended up costing $69 and change, $5 of which was a tip. The order was to-go, and I usually don’t tip on to-go orders because I’m forgoing the fine-in service, but I thought it was a nice gesture for those working. When it came time to get sauces, I asked for two sauces per meal, and I was told that I was only allowed five - apparently the Tuesday taco meal was only allotted one sauce. I was offended because I have spent almost $70 on three meals and the server was complaining about an extra sauce that I didn’t realize I couldn’t even have until I was informed by her. I just wanted an original and a sweet sauce per meal, that was all - no abundance, just a simple option of two barbecue sauce flavors. This is the reason for my two star review. Your barbecue food is fantastic, but your staff has no idea how to critically think based on an order or a request. I should never have been told I could only have five sauces instead of six when I spent almost $70 on 3 meals and extras and also kindly gave a $5 dollar tip for a to - go order. Should I ask for the five dollar tip back? I really couldn’t get one additional sauce? Please help your staff make their patrons feel welcome and appreciated for the money they spend and the support they give. I don’t think requesting two sauce flavors per meal should ever be an...
