TL;dr - fine pizza, but too expensive for the quality and service. Better off checking out one of the many local competitors.
Unfortunately, a very disappointing pizza place. We ordered pizza a few weeks ago online. Took advantage of the "order ahead" feature so the pizza would arrive after the kids were safely down for the night, so we selected 7:45 as a delivery time. Unbeknownst to us, the delivery guy shows up at 7:23 with our pizzas. He apparently tried to call, but as noted above, we were busy putting the kids down and specifically ordered from this restaurant because they offered an order ahead feature. Ironically, almost the same thing happened to us about ~6 months ago, but luckily we heard the doorbell and could rush down to get it. The reward that time was getting to eat cold pizza an hour later, when it was supposed to have been delivered.
At about 8:30 we called the store asking for an update on our order. The person who answered was friendly, but after rustling through some papers for 3 minutes or so, she just told me that the delivery driver was out and about and our pizza should arrive soon. We gave it a half hour, and nothing, so we called again. That time we got a young guy who dug into it a little bit more, and told us that the delivery guy came and we didn't answer, so we didn't get our pizza. We asked what time the driver came, and they seemed somewhat astonished that they even offered an order ahead option.
After a little bit of back and forth, the store agreed to whip up some new pizzas and have them delivered, albeit close to 10 p.m. The manager also agreed to refund the cost of our pizza, which was just shy of $50 for two pies.
The pizza arrived and it was fine, although they also did not follow the request to exclude mushrooms from one of the pizzas. We are around 2 weeks our from this mess, and also still have not gotten any sort of refund. I've tried calling the store and submitting an inquiry by email, and both requests have gone unanswered.
It's a tough time in the service industry and we appreciate that, so we weren't rude or angry and understood that mistakes happen. However, the particular businesses failure to follow through with their promise to make things right has both lost them a customer, and compelled me to share...
Read moreWent to grab late dinner last night by myself being 8 months pregnant and just got done doing 6 hours of volunteer work .. just wanting a good meal to sit down and relax with . I called before hand to confirm their happy hour times , which the employee had said was from 9-10 . I also double checked online before I called for their kitchen times and it says till 11pm . I showed up at 8:55 , I asked to be seated in the dining room ( there was also another family in the dining room about to leave ) . I ordered my food by 9:00 put in my food order , knowing I was going to get dessert for myself like I always do when I visit Broadway pizza and order my husband food to go . My food was dropped off at 9:15 with my bill at the same time and my server Alec said nothing . Didn’t ask if I was finished or if I was going to be ordering anything else just assumed I was done ... I asked when he came back to put in more food at 9:20 and he said the kitchen had closed ? He never mentioned to me the kitchen was closing or asked if I wanted to put anything in before they closed the kitchen ( granted there was atleast 10 people still in the restaurant so it’s not like they weren’t busy ) ... so I saved room for a salted Carmel cookie to not even be able to order it or have the opportunity to order it . Or my husbands food . While I finished up my food ( no drink refill either my entire meal ) they turned the lights off on me in the dining room ! I was so uncomfortable I immediately wanted to leave . I felt so rushed and so upset I can’t believe the whole experience . I spent $25 on myself and was going to spend another $30-$40 on dessert and my husbands to go food but didn’t even get to . Went across the street to Red Robin and dropped $40 plus a $40 tip because I felt like they deserved it much more . You’d think you’d treat your pregnant customers better . So sad you’d treat...
Read moreWe order from Broadway Pizza all the time and their food is always fantastic. My fiancé is a vegetarian, and I am not which makes this the perfect place to go. This most recent time we ordered our typical Promise burger (vegan), with a cowboy burger. When we received our order at home, the promise burger had a regular meat patty instead of a vegan patty. Unfortunately my fiancé had already taken many bites of the burger before he noticed. We called back the Plymouth, MN location and spoke with a woman around 7 pm CT on Sunday (I don't have her name). I told her the situation and she placed me on hold. When she came back, she said that she confirmed with the cook that it was a promise burger. I told her that we had the patty here and it was clearly a medium beef burger, but she said that was not possible and the cook took it out of the promise burger container. She was very dismissive of my claims and even though I told her that I had the burger still with me, she told me that we were wrong and the burger was correct. I really wish I had the woman's name as she as very rude and dismissive, but unfortunately I did not capture that information. This incident is very unfortunate for me, not because they made a mistake which happens, but because the women I spoke to said we were lying and refused to listen to the evidence that we had sitting on our plate.
