I haven't had Leeann Chin for at least 15 years, after having it regularly in my much, much younger years, when I worked right by a Byerly's that had one inside. Those were the days...anyway, I was excited to finally eat it again (though I am still bummed that the beef lo mein of old is no longer on the menu, as that was my favorite entree). The Peking chicken was just as outstanding as I remembered. Perfect flavor and texture. The lemon chicken was fine, but a different taste than I remember. Granted, that is a long time ago. The fried rice had a mushroomy taste (I looked it up and saw that it is made in a mushroom soy sauce - my fault for not catching that on the website when I was looking at the menu, as it is clearly written there). I don't remember it tasting that way before (though maybe my taste buds have changed). If you like mushroom flavor, it would be fantastic. I don't like that though, so I'd probably go for the noodles the next time. But the Peking chicken was exactly how I remembered it, which was great. Also, the restaurant was clean, the bathroom was clean, and the employees were very friendly...
Read moreTime of visit: 11:15 AM, 6 Jul 18. Notedly, a spicy smell ambiance was absent. My main entrée lacked flavor except for the actual chicken of the cashew chicken tasted raw (like feathers) and under sautéed/seared along with the accompanying vegetables. There were two two-bite size pieces of chicken and one one-bite size piece. There were about 10 small cashew halves. The soggy egg roll tasted soapy with ginger. The brown rice was unremarkable. I would that the entire dish could have been microwave or salamander heated to piping hot rather than the tepid 165 degree steam table temperature. The soy sauce was imitation or of the poorest quality and in the tinyest of cumbersome clear plastic packets. There was neither hot Chinese mustard nor duck sauce. The facilities and service were adequate. The "Imperial's" price was about $3 too high for its quality. I will no longer be gracing the Leeann Chins. I was quite disappointed when a Leeann Chin replaced a Red Pepper Chinese Restaurant in...
Read moreI go to this location about once a month. It's always clean. Food good, but little pricey. Service normally good and attentive. Last week though, there appeared to be two newer young boys "working". I waited patiently for my egg rolls to be cooked as a few other people were served their food choices after me. Others waiting for egg rolls. The two boys helped all the others with egg rolls although I was standing in front as well with my food waiting as well getting cold. I asked about getting my one egg roll and was told when they could get to it. Then they had to get more covers before I got my food. They just gave me a look that I was the one being impatient and disrespectful and smiled at other customers. They also filled the bowl about half full of food. Never going back, so...
