Real pricey but that is to be expected from the boardwalk, got a medium and the amount felt closer to a large, good to see they are generous with the amount. It was about $10 and they come seasoned with very little salt. Thankfully this isn't too bad as they have old bay seasoning that you can put on top of the fries that they have in their condiments area. I would recommend doing this as the fries as they come seasoned is way too little that the flavor is lacking.
Additionally, the fries are not crispy, almost as if they were only fried once and not fried again to give it that crisp that fries from other joints usually have (McDonalds fries for example). This is not a bad thing if you enjoy those type of fries but it is worth mentioning for those looking for these type of fries as you will not it here.
I also got the cheese sauce, originally the order was for cheese fries but they will just give you a separate container with sauce, the amount isn't too much either if you love cheese. However, I would not recommend this cheese sauce as it is very watery and artificial tasting. Definitely not worth the $2.
Overall I would not come back here, the food is edible but nothing to write home about, it's not horrible but it isn't great either. There are probably better fries you can find around...
Read moreChippy's is my go-to place for lunch when I stop by the boardwalk. The food here is a bit on the pricey side, but their lemonade and fries are always super delicious. I usually end up getting either a crab cake or an order of fish and chips.
The fish and the crab cakes are cooked to order, so they always taste super good. If you order funnel cakes you get to seem them being made right in front of you, so that's also a really cool sight to see.
The food here isn't the healthiest, but I'm always satisfied when buying something tasty for lunch. If you want a quick bite to eat, I recommend stopping by here when you're at...
Read moreChippy’s..as if you needed another reason to hate giving your money to a boardwalk stand. $8.95 for a cinnamon sugar pretzel that was rock hard. When I asked for a new one they looked at me like I was crazy for ordering one in the first place. They didn’t even say, “let me make you a fresh one” they gave me my money back without me even asking for it. And the “seafood” next door, gave me a $25.00 fried seafood platter that was fried black with frozen cocktail...
