Small portions-$4.25 for regular-which it was not even 1/2 of the cup. According to other employees new girl gave small amount of ice cream when they looked into the cup, but she stood by her decision, she disappears in the back for 5 minutes so she can sell her story to the manager, when he comes in he says that's regular size, I said fine with my son starting to cry, I said keep the ice cream will go give business to someone else and I will put review how disappointed I'm after going to seaside and point pleasant locations for yrs and that was worst service ever. Soft ice cream from machine which cost them less then dollar for sure, I bet its full of powder and artificial flavors for $4.25, I can go to super market and buy organic ice cream for $7.99 made with five real ingredient's be enough for whole family not barely one child. So said that place is so expensive and on top of that is trying to cut on portions. I don't care if you have new employees or not, manager argued with me and only when I said I will post review he changed he's attitude from smirk on he's face to real manager behavior( I was given name in the end after refusal many times, he asked me for my name I gave to him with out him replying). Don't waste your money. Manager which refused to give me hes name only changed he's mine after few minutes that she didn't give proper amount, so first it was ok then it wasn't. I should have taken the picture of that cup, if you go to Princeton I get more from well known ice cream shop and it is real ice cream not like this place. Lost my business and I hope people will read this and give real ice cream shops a chance-while this place boss is on boat spending our hard earn money for something that is definitely not worth it. I heard once before there someone getting shake for $10, are you kidding me, It better be...

Title: Absolutely Disgusting Hygiene – I Walked Away Without My Order!
I visited Kohr’s Frozen Custard on the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk today (July 11, 2025) and had one of the most appalling experiences I’ve ever had at an ice cream shop. I ordered a mint and chocolate swirl in a waffle cone dipped in chocolate, excited for a classic boardwalk treat. What happened next was straight out of a nightmare. The young employee scooped the ice cream into the cone just fine, but then he took it to the back to dip it in chocolate. From what I could see, the cone tipped over, and he caught the entire thing with his bare hand – resulting in chocolate smeared all over his hands. He then plopped the messy cone into a cup and casually asked if I still wanted it or if he should remake it. Shocked, I politely asked him to remake it. Instead of washing his hands or grabbing gloves, he went to the back room, pushed the ruined ice cream off the original cone into the trash (still with his chocolate-covered hands), and proceeded to prepare a new one using the same contaminated cone. No gloves, no napkins, no hand washing – just handling my food with sticky, dirty hands. It was beyond unsanitary and completely unprofessional. At that point, I couldn’t stomach the thought of eating anything from there. I told him thank you but I didn’t want it anymore, and I walked away empty-handed. This place clearly has no regard for basic food safety standards. Avoid at all costs – there are plenty of other ice cream spots on the boardwalk that won’t risk...
Read moreWent to the boardwalk today with my 2 kids and my husband and decided to get ice cream. I said to my husband we have to get kohrs it’s the best! When he suggested another place closer to where we were. When it was our turn, I had my credit card in my hand as I ordered 4 cones for all of us. The guy kept looking at me weird and I didn’t know why. Well when it came time to pay the guy goes “you know we are cash only right” (obviously not knowing that holding my card the whole time and he failed to tell me that before ordering.) I had to walk down the boardwalk to an ATM and come back with cash all while holding numerous ice cream cones. By the time I went back and paid and got to my family two of the cones were melted mush and had melted all over my top, my hands all the way down to my shoes. When I went back to pay I looked and there was not one cash only sign anywhere.
I am not a person who vacations to Point Pleasant. This area is my home and I felt like I was treated with terrible customer service and the company should make it blatantly known it’s cash only. ESP in a...
