I visited this location 3/18/17 and was totally disappoint in the service. This place give the mom and pop restaurants a bad reputation. Upon entering the establishment no one greeted us, the first server we saw started to wipe tables even though they had more than enough to seat. After wiping the tables she walked off and went in back came out and walked to the other side of the restaurant, still not acknowledging us. I had to go ask a woman at the bar for a server, she promised to send someone over(the place wasn't busy maybe four tables and three people at the bar with four employees). When the server came it was the young lady who ignored us the whole time. So I said you didn't see us the whole time we were here, I said I don't feel like that type of disrespect today. She yelled Me either walked off and preceded to go to the bar and tell another server what happened loudly in-front of other customers. That server came over and was apologetic about the situation but I wanted to see a manager. She informed me that it was mom and pop, I could see the owner if i want so I said can you get him. The manager/owner came over with flip flops on and dirty toes nails. He had an apron on as if he was working in the kitchen. Well when I told him what happen he acted as he didn't care and even said she was busy and stressed out. So when a server is stressed its ok to disrespect the customer that has nothing to do with your issues. The manager ignore everything I said and told me I'll enjoy the food. I said I want to enjoy the service too the whole experience. He said " I you don't like it you don't have to stay so I left. I drove to Loves Seafood which is not far from their location (6817 Chief Of Love Rd, Savannah, GA 31419). The service was excellent, the atmosphere was great near the water. The food was amazing I totally enjoyed Loves Seafood. I would never visit Bahama Bob's they cater only to certain people and allow employees to disrespect customers. I would recommend driving a little farther for an excellent dinning experience. BELOW ARE PICTURES FROM LOVES SEAFOOD WHICH IS A BETTER CHOICE AND THE TOTAL DINNING...
Read moreMy friends and I had never been here before tonight. We got here around midnight and we're concerned they would be closing soon. When we got here we checked the hours on the door. 2:45? That was plenty of time! We got drinks and grabbed a pool table, the place was bumpin. Tons of people there and having a great time. 12:45 rolls around and we purchase 3 more BIG beers. We fire up another game of pool and the DJ closes up. We thought this was odd but people we're still hanging. 5 minutes later and the whole place cleared. We were playing darts at this point and trying to finish our beer. A member of the staff approaches us and tells us we need to go as they were trying to close. My friend replied "We are trying to" which was truthful as not 10 minutes earlier we had purchased huge beers. We finally go to leave when we overhear the same person mock my friend with an exaggerated "We are TRYYYYING to..." Then "wished" us a good night. When my friend told her to have a good night in return she announced very loudly that my friend was sarcastic. 1:09 we are in the car and they are CHAINING the door shut and cutting the lights. 1:38 I am in my bed writing a review. The door says 2:45.
There were peo and definitely cons. I will start with the pros. The food was FANTASTIC! our table ordered a variety of things and all were great. I love the atmosphere and kareoke that was going on and our waitress was very kind. Cons on the other hand... While the food was great we literally got our meals one at a time. The kids received their kids meals first and completed them and one was actually asleep with his head on the table before my husband received his. He finished all his crab legs, potatoes, sausage, oysters before mine finally arrived (we didn't bother trying to wait and eat together because we could tell it wasn't going to work out like that). Finally I received my seafood pasta that was Soo so good and a huge portion and I ate all that I wanted and was done and waiting when they brought my oldest son's fish sandwich. By then we had all been slipping him bites of our food because we felt bad and he said... I was really hungry but I really don't want it now. It really took away from the experience. Our waitress kept checking in us and apologizing but it did seem like the norm as I saw the same situation going on at many tables. Would have really been wonderful had we all be able to eat together. Another con was that the bathroom was pretty gross. I don't think it has ever had a good deep cleaning. Altogether I would probably still go back for a 2nd try because the food was THAT good, the experience as a whole was just lacking. We stopped in travelling from Florida back home wanted a last good seafood meal, which it was, but didn't really plan to spend 2+ hours so that was a downfall. You just have to decide how much time and patience you have and if you have a lot, the food really is...
