Taiyaki icecream and froyo — Restaurant in Port Aransas

We LOVED our Taiyaki cones! We tried the Blossom Taro, Fruiti Tooti, and Cocoa Dream and all were amazing! The atmosphere and service were subpar though. There was one person working. She was quite flustered as she finished two other ladies orders ahead of us. They told her they weren’t in a rush and she could slow down- that everything is ok. It didn’t seem to help. She was audibly sighing (like 2 dozen times, no lie) while making our cones and frantically moving through the kitchen. She was panicking with every spill or problem because she ran out of batter and wafer sticks. My husband apologized for “bombarding her with 7 people” to which she said “it’s fine SIGH”. We stepped outside to eat because all of us felt uncomfortable (even my 7 year old noticed). The worker stepped outside at around 735 with the garbage and told someone waiting in a truck that she would be late to close up (closes at 8) because people came in at 730(🤔??). Though expensive, the food was really yummy! I’m just not sure what was happening with the worker to cause such poor...

The Taro one was between a real taro ice cream and a artificial flavored ice cream.

The mango one lacked much more flavor and the waffle fish tasted like the waffles they give you in the cheapest hotels, the matcha (stuffing) was very bad.

The service was good, a little confusing since they didn’t have certain flavors and they didn’t explain which ones they had available, but the girl was very friendly.

We were disappointed. We found out about the place and were so excited to try it. The posted hours didn't match when they were open. When we did make it when it was open, there were no baked fish cones- they were out. We also ordered a cup of froyo with fruit- it was half empty and the fruit was completely frozen. Highly priced and...
