Went to eat dinner with family. Had a server named Michelle that after selling us on ordering the 10 red velvet pancake pup as an appetizer. Not the 5 but the 10. I requested another frosting because we had only one and not enough for 10. If we ordered 5 then we would have gotten 1 but we ordered double. While she was busy we asked the host if he could please bring another frosting and he said yes no problem. I also reminded the waitress when she can over but she yelled that you can only have one and that we have to pay for the other. I asked if anyone at the table said that we couldn't afford another because she stated that we can only have one and if we needed anything else. I replied that I needed what I asked for because I asked for another frosting and she stated that it's extra again. I mentioned that we have money and that she was very rude and didn't have to yell and she stated that ,that was my opinion and not a fact. I stated that it was a fact because everyone in the area started looking and one lady stated that she was going to pray for us. With an attitude stated was there anything else I stated no thank you. I also mentioned that she was unprofessional and she stated she was doing the bare minimum of what the company required. I stated that I never had someone speak to me with disrespect and with attitude. She responded again that she was doing only minimum of her job duties at Denny's.She then told the host to come over and serve us and started looking like she had an attitude during the entire meal. We had to wait about seven to ten minutes after food came up may I also add.I wouldn't recommend to anyone of color at this location. I only say that based on the favors she did for other customers that she served while waiting and watching her with other customers.Don't go!!! I asked for the manager and the host stated that the manager left early because he was sick.Oh and don't let me forget instead of being offered dessert we were asked if we...
Read moreI placed in doordash order for Applebee's in 2 hours later it was canceled I'm diabetic and I was too sick to drive to get food. Then I placed an order for the Denny's and New Smyrna Beach paid the money drove up there the door was locked nobody answered I called and the line was busy so I called this location Denny's to see what was going on. The man Dennis didn't answer the phone was extremely rude I immediately asked for a manager and he said well what can I do to help you maybe I can help you and I told him the situation not sure if I proved I paid the money they could give me the food or at least tell me why the location is supposed to be 24 hours was closed down he said he had no idea I've been asked to speak to the manager Danielle cuz I heard him say her name and then he proceeded to say there's nothing she can do if I can't help you she can help you understand but I'd still like to speak to her and then he actually said she doesn't want to talk to you. I said excuse me I haven't yelled or sworn or been rude to why would she not want to talk to me I said well I want to talk to her about something different I insist you get around the phone let me tell you how sweet Danielle was. She told me she'd been in the industry at Denny's and she was 17 she's now 40 and has been a manager for six years she's so compassion although she couldn't get me the food she did tell me she was going to get my information to the general manager that would be in at 4:30 a.m. to do inventory and then proceeded to tell her what Jennifer and she was shot she said she would never say that to him so I really wanted to leave the review to tell you how amazing Daniel was and how absolutely rude Dennis was and he should...
Read moreSo unfortunately to say but my meal was ruined with my family at this location. In fact we got our drinks and decided it best to leave because of the tantrum being thrown. Usually it's a nice quiet place you can go and enjoy your meal, due to it being what I would consider late. I will not place specific names but one gentleman named John. Now I did not speak to him but, boy was he extremely loud and rude to his coworkers. I suppose he made a decision and it wasn't followed through the way he preferred, but chose to verbally be aggressive to his surrounding employees. He seemed agitated and frustrated, however he goes outside to I guess confront the server who seemed to be taking over a shift a bit earlier. (THIS PARTICULAR SERVER IS CONSTANTLY BAILING OUT THOSE WHO DONT WANT TO STAY) this shows how much I go here. This is where he crossed the line. His demeanor coming back in was very profound with anger and frustration at this point. He than goes to the back where another gentleman who initially got us our drinks was cleaning up. John continues to scream and while my children and my family and I are still waiting to be served, he uses vulgar language and shouting over the other person who he was Yelling/Shouting with. At this point I told my family to get up and we wouldn't be eating here tonight. I worked in the food industry for a long time. As a server it's hard to make ends meet, whatever the case was there is a time and a place. At a family establishment you would think he would calm down a bit but even knowing that we were watching the tantrum continued. It's a shame but I don't think there is no coming back from...
