I placed an order online in February (placed the order thru a delivery company because I just had recent hip surgery and was not quite comfortable driving). The 3rd party company I used had never been an issue before with any other establishments I had ordered from, it was only with this establishment. Every other time I used this 3rd party company everything was in order and correct. NOT SO WITH BAGEL BROTHERS.
What I ordered and what showed up were completely different. The delivery app company said that’s what they said you ordered and to contact them. I called them and was told I ordered an omelette. I said I did not, I ordered a bagel with lox, cream cheese, etc. that is what the picture showed and that’s what I ordered. They pretty much told me, ‘oh well, we can make you what the photo shows but you have to come get it.’ So I agree because at this point it was what I was craving and the omelette was definitely not what I wanted.
I got in my car, drove the 15 min, got inside, and waited. And waited. Finally they gave me what I had clicked on in the app (I showed them the picture in the app and the female manager was shocked and said that picture does not go with that item number and they will fix it). I then drove home and finally opened my bagel and it was still wrong because it was missing the red onions. But at this point I didn’t care because I was hungry and just wanted my bagel with lox and cream cheese.
That same day I emailed the owner, Mr Joseph Carfino. I explained everything and he stated he would refund my $17.00 (the bagel with lox and cream cheese is less then $10.00 but the app charges delivery and tip etc ) because of the whole mess, the incorrect photo and incorrect description, and for me having to drive when I was still not comfortable with it.
WELL- we are now in DECEMBER and I NEVER received a refund. Every month I sent him an email advising that nothing was credited to my credit card. Every month he told me next month. And every single month nothing. Please keep in mind this has nothing to do with the lousy $17.00. This has to do with a business owner keeping their word. I have every email exchange between Mr Carfino and I and every month for almost 8 months he kept telling me ‘next month’.
I finally said if you can’t credit back my credit card, how about a gift certificate to YOUR business. He said ok. He had my name, address, and phone number. GUESS WHAT? No gift certificate. I emailed him several times since then and no reply. I called his number and his voicemail is full.
It has been 10 months and my last email to him was that I don’t care anymore and it’s not worth it and pretty much that it says a lot about his character the way he conducted himself. The owner of this company does not care about his patrons or his company for that matter. He is just a bad business owner who lies and has NO ETHICS....
Read moreThis is my second time coming to this store and I will say that I like the atmosphere. It’s clean. It’s friendly and a couple things. I did enjoy like the rainbow cookie cake but The bagels were OK. Putting New York bagel in your name you have to have really great bagels, treasure Coast, bakery bagels Are better in my opinion and I grew up in New York. But It’s good Don’t get me wrong. It’s not horrible or Gimmicky It’s a good Option for people who just want a bagel and aren’t picky. Today I had the Blueberry muffin and I honestly couldn’t finish it. It was packed with sugar. My husband had a tuna out and he really enjoyed it. I’ve had sandwiches for them before and I really enjoyed it. The last time I went, I had the rainbow bagel and it was Not great I wouldn’t even say good I will say it was cute to look at aesthetically pleasing. But you buy a bagel to eat not to look at. I asked for it to be toasted And it was warm, not toasted but warm and the cream cheese was not spread evenly. I will say they were ridiculously busy at the time and still very nice and helpful. The cashier said she was new and she said that after I told her what I wanted about three times And she still wasn’t getting it my husband said it once and all of a sudden she heard what he said, and it was kind of annoying because I said Danish and she kept saying you want a bagel.. I almost screamed danish lol. But The eggs and potatoes are good. This is a very honest and long review because I see great potential in them. I just wish that number one their cashiers were a little bit more present. And I understand at the time that I want they had just freshly opened up I think so that was another factor again super busy that day. I was probably in there for about 30 minutes and the entire time it was packed to the rim. The last thing I will say is Be careful when you’re buying danishes from them because gosh I bought three and I ate them on the car ride home. It was that good so the pastries are great. But the muffin was a little sweet again. I got blueberry crumb, I...
Read moreThis place is very busy. Four of us entered. The couple that was with us ordered first, and we followed right after. For some reason, we did not get our order. Mind you, the order was paid for. Half an hour after the order, we went to the front to find out what was taking so long, and it turned out that they had not even attempted to prepare the order. This after, several folks had come in behind us and received their food. We forgave the fact that they overlooked us and asked the cashier to put the order through once more. About seventeen minutes into waiting for the reordered food, we went back to the front to check the status of our order and found out that the order had not even been started because the priority went to the orders that came in behind us. My wife and I were thoroughly disappointed. The couple that invited us to this establishment were embarrassed. We requested our money back and promptly left with the couple we arrived with since we watched them eat and never got our meals or any kind of apology. Our friends vowed never to patronize your establishment. We travel a lot and are not elderly. Needless to say, we have lots of friends. Your current or potential customers. Some were just arriving and were waiting outside to order when we were leaving. We conveyed our experience to them. They promptly left. The domino effect. When places like this get tons of traffic, they tend to forget the importance of the customer. They believe that they will always be busy and don't care if they lose a few customers here or there. Well, I've got to tell you, I am the customer, the one that pays you and your employees. Maybe that means nothing to you, but eventually, after enough potential customers start bleeding off, you will change your tune. No business is too big to fail, and...
