International Auto Show. There was a decent line of demanding customers getting coffee. I remember thinking that the folks working here were probably not having a great time. As the line progressed and I made it to the number 2 spot I noticed the gentlemen taking orders was speaking to the customer in front of me very politely whatever minor issue there was of something unavailable he seemed to resolve very quickly with a smile to and from that customer. My turn, I placed my order which consists of items not always available. To my surprise both were at this location which was great but not the reason for this positive review. The gentleman taking orders was named Freddie or at least his name tag was. He was just very courteous, spoke clearly, and gave the impression to me that despite being swamped he was willing to take care of customers first, with a smile, and that is not common anymore at all. After I ordered her helped the person who was trying to keep up making drinks. He jumped right to it making my drink, which was outstanding, but again the product I received is not the basis of my review. The service and people providing it is. I hope who ever manages over Freddie sees this and at least tells him thank...
Read moreThere's a Portland coffee roasters across from the convention center in a marketplace that's inaccessible if you aren't staying at the hotel. There is a location in the convention center as well but the map clearly shows this one isn't in the convention center.
But this one is stupid. It's inaccessible unless you're staying at the hotel, which is so goofy. They have doors facing outward that could be for public use but they made them exit only. The entrance they force you to enter from is within the hotel, which you at 9am I couldn't get into without a keycard. I don't know the need to pretend you're bougie and elitist and only serve hotel customers when surely you would get more money allowing others in as well but by all means, keep your doors shut to those trying to give you money. I'll happily go...
Read more$1 upcharge for soy milk (their only non-dairy option). Got my order wrong 3 times: twice at the register (where I only realized because I knew exactly how much my order should have cost) and once when they made the wrong drink. Somewhat short staffed, but still really disproportionately slow service. This is not my first time at this location and it's never been great, but it's really continued to...
