Every time I come here I end up in an argument about what a wrap is vs a "wrap-it". The first time I came here I was told that a WRAP was the burrito style I wanted. At the time I had accidentally ordered the "wrap-it" and got the half folded mess of a meal, but no problem, I can just turn it into a burrito, no harm done.
The second time I come here, I ordered a "wrap" specifically as I was told to do previously. I was served the same exact half folded mess I got before. I mentioned this and I was essentially told I was completely wrong, and that a "wrap-it" is what I wanted.
The person who gave me this information was the same, both times. In the most recent instance he even told me I shouldn't order it burrito style, since the fillings would just "drip out", so I ordered it as a standard bowl. I was never reimbursed the price difference. When I got the bowl, he had converted the order from a vegan smoky to a standard smoky, so I had to get them to change it yet again.
Look guys, I don't want to argue the definition of a wrap-it anymore. Not when the downtown location offers much better service with a much more confident staff that knows their menu.
If you want Cafe Yumm, don't go here,...
Read moreI love ordering from Café Yum. That being said… The quality has gone downhill a lot recently more than half the times that I order they don’t follow my simple instructions of adding tofu that I pay extra for also mention that I have a tomato allergy and more times than not there are tomatoes put into my dish, so I cannot eat it. I have had to request a lot of refund through DoorDash, and really wish that the people here paid closer attention to allergies and customizations.
To provide reference… I have probably ordered 20 times in the last three months and received the wrong order half of those times. There’s also no way to contact corporate through their website to mention that their lack of attention to allergies can literally kill people. Unfortunately, after this last experience, I just don’t think I can come back to this location if you have any allergies, I highly recommend you not go to this location.
Edit: updating to 4 stars because of how quickly they handled it. Still be careful if you have...
Read moreIt was a bit disappointing. Before moving from Beaverton to Portland we would frequent the Cafe Yumm as it is one of our favorite places. So this time we went to this location as it is on our way home. We ordered what we always do...a large Yumm! 'n' Greens to share. Usually, at the other Cafe's serve the large on a dinner plate. They put a generous amount of greens, then the bowl fixings of your choice and top it with tortilla chips. At this location, it came in the same size bowl as you would get ordering just a bowl, then they put a few greens on the bottom and we're out of chips. When we questioned the gal, she said since they were a franchise, they do it differently!! Not really the point of a franchise. Consistency is the point of a franchise. To know that whichever location you go to, you get the same thing you get at...
