I walked in ordered two Vietnamese coffees and got served with a nasty attitude by the guy wearing an orange shirt with a man bun behind the counter on 9/2/25 at around 3pm. Not sure what his deal is. This wasn’t the person who took our order who was actually really nice. This orange shirt was just standing around behind the counter giving out death stares. Not sure what we did to him, you can review the security footage if you want. Seems like the owner likes to review profiles of people who gave one star reviews. And yes I only leave bad reviews because it’s just the way it is, but just because I do so, it doesn’t invalidate my bad customer service experience I received. The coffee was not bad, just the uncomfortable attitude and weird facial expressions that I received was bad.
I accidentally dropped my straw, my husband walked up to orange shirt guy and asked for a new one. Without a word, orange shirt guy scoffed at my husband. I don’t understand the nasty attitude. Right when we walked in the orange shirt guy was already giving us the death stare for no reason. Was not expecting this when I walked in. This was my second time here. What did we do to...
Read moreIf you're in downtown Portland and need a break from shopping, this is the place to be. It's super close to places like Muji, Zara, and Pioneer Place -- to name a few. There's a good amount of seating, and it's a nice change of pace from the city. It's very low-key inside and a great place to eat alone or with a few friends. The staff is super friendly and helpful when choosing what to order. My friends and I didn't have to wait too long either for our food which was great since we were starving! There are a few parking garages nearby and street pay to park near the restaurant.
The spring rolls as an appetizer are a must! They're SO good, especially their tempura. It's light and crispy. It was the perfect snack before our meal. Cuốn is a little pricier than your average pho shop, but considering you're in the city and the amount of food they give you, you won't be complaining. The pho was also very clean tasting and some of the best broth I've had from a pho place. We were all full AND satisfied by the end of the meal. I had a great experience here, and I will be coming...
Read moreThis little gem is located downtown and convenient to get to. I needed a hot broth so popped in here for pho which l hadn’t had for a very long time. I don’t usually have pho outside (prefer parents one) but this was an exception. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was, the broth really warmed me up. I ended up finishing most of it. So decided to order a vermicelli bowl with grilled lemongrass pork and grilled pork patties to go and had it for dinner. Shame they ran out of crispy pork belly, but what l ordered was tasty. The sauce was rather too sweet for my tastes, so l added lemon juice to balance out the flavour. Also the grilled pork was a tad too sweet too. Put that together with the sauce = too sweet. The place is like a canteen so very casual. For eating in, you collect your own cutlery and sauces (sirachi/hoisin) and the tea and water is free. I had so much broth so the tea was thoroughly welcomed just to cleanse my palate after eating. Staff were very nice and polite. I would certainly head back here should l visit...
