A few months ago I was super excited to try their OKC style smashburger I'm saying this as someone who has made plenty of the OKC style burgers at home on my griddle They DO NOT make a OKC They make their regular burgers with caramelized onions wedged in between two patties An actual OKC Burger is where the onions are smashed into the beef patty I've been to two different locations & both times it was the same thing If you're going to do OKC burgers Please respect the burger and it's history And do them the right way
Update edit Since the owner wants to be sassy instead of taking criticism like an adult I live in Lawton Oklahoma The proud home of the Comanche Nation And I've never not seen the paper thin onions smashed directly into the patties Also George Motz would respectfully disagree He does it the same way I doubt anybody in America has more burger knowledge than him Nice try though It was super adorable reading your defense of a poorly executed OKC...

The new location is awesome. I no longer have to sit in my car on the street drinking a road soda and getting smashy sauce all over my lap. Today I tried the clunky boy and damm that was a crispy sandwich! And at the same price as the regular burger, what a deal!
Pro tip: if the price increase bugs you, get the burger bag. 5 for $25. Do the math!
Best smashy bois in town! The crispy lacing on the outside of the burger brings me so much damm joy I sometimes shed a tear while eating it. When I’m having a great day, I grab a burger. When life is crapping on me and I need a pick me up, I grab 2 burgers. The food is simple and honest and it brings legitimate joy to my life. Also, their social media and the general attitude of everyone that works there is really tops. Please support this small business and F the haters who don’t know a proper smashy if it hit them...
Read moreLegit the first place in Portland I tried for my "food cart" experience when they had their location on Williams. Now I come to the Sandy one because it's closer to home. I try not to eat here often so I don't lose my love for it, but I make sure to treat myself regularly. I am ALWAYS taken care of by the people who work there and in return I also try to tip em big. This is the only place where I have never been failed service, left out a napkin or a fork, or had my order made wrong. Hell, I'm even thinking about having them cater at my wedding whenever I decide to get married 🤣 love this place so much. The atmosphere. The food. The people. The area. This is my "happy place" in Portland. My Bob's Burger joint. The Krusty Krab type ish! If there's a bad review on here from anybody, it's probably because they have bad taste and no manners and should probably check out...
