I am a travelling clinician throughout Vancouver and Portland. He was one of the few food trucks open on Saturday, so I thought I would give it a try. I ordered a kebab plate and parked around the corner to enjoy it. WOW, the kebabs were piping hot/fresh/juicy. It reminded me of a famous restaurant in Los Angeles called Hatem in Anaheim. Over the next few weeks we ordered a few kebab plates at a time including the chicken and beef/lamb mix. Each and every time, he would grill them right there and then and again the food would come out piping hot and juicy. This past week I asked Ali to cater our party of 60 with 80 kebabs total an two trays of beef stew. We brought the trays home and I'll say the presentation was excellent, the food was fresh, hot and of course the kebabs super juicy, great quality and good portion amounts. There was a full on attack for the kebabs and beef stew at my home last night. Overall, the price was quite reasonable, there was no pressure to make any sales, only whatever the customer wants. He also called the next day to follow up on the quality and taste. I consider him family now and of course our regular stop for Persian food. I think much better quality and quantity from the many food trucks on Washington. ...
Read moreWell, I hate to be the odd one out, but for me the food was simply terrible. I would have been happier with eating a slice of bread with cheese. The kababs were cooked well, I will admit but they left out on very important ingredient. Salt. There is no spice, no savory component to the two kababs I got. I got a chicken breast kebab and the ground chicken kebab. It was honestly super, super bland. No spice whatsoever. I truly would have been happier with a slice of bread and cheese. If you are okay with completely bland food, this is probably the place for you. For me, it simply wasn't. I wish these guys the best. I'm not hating the business. The owner seemed like a very nice person. Just not the place for me. I sadly had to throw out food for the first time in...
Read moreSERIOUSLY DELICIOUS! Okay, so I wish I had a picture of the food, but I ate it so fast that there is nothing left to picture. My girlfriend and I got the Koobideh and chicken breast combo kabab. I’m Persian, and this kabab is done right. The rice is cooked perfectly, if you’re Persian you know this is crucial. The chicken kabab is marinated very well and the yogurt really had time to tenderize the meat. Lastly, the Koobideh!! SO GOOD. The meat was delicious, and reminded me of a home cooked meal. If you get a chance, make sure to try both the chicken and the Koobideh, Iranian kabab is one of the best kabab styles and this is it done right! He really cares about the quality of the food, and again I suggest that everyone...
