We visited for taco Tuesday and it was packed. This is a tiny spot with great service. Good luck woth parking, it's limited. We had to pay for metered parking. There was a packed bar and the 4 or so tables were full. We arrived in the middle of happy hour. It didn't matter how busy it was here because we had fabulous service with a smile the entire time, no matter how busy the sweet bartender/server/hostess was. She had a full plate, but she handled all woth ease and never a fret. She made a good drink too. Our food was well priced and came out quickly. Each item was packaged in to go containers although we were dining in. Since it was taco Tueday we ordered the El Pastor tacos and the Marinated Carnitas tacos. Out of the two, definitely go with the El Pastor tacos. We also enjoyed the garlic parmesean wings. They were cooked enough to not be soggy and were unexpextedly juicy with flavor. I would definitely visit again. I really enjoyed our visit to Tomaso's Canteen.

Downtown Portland, Maine. March 2025. Cold winds make a 40-degree day feel like a 20. Perfect conditions for a local place that exudes hygge. Resurrected and renamed, in 2015 this dive bar took over after the age-old Sangillo's closed. A small space with big smiles and great service. Not the best place for a big crowd but if you get there at the right time it could work. I was greeted immediately by the bartender. A quick cold beer was served and I asked for some help with a menu choice--> the Steak Bomb sandwich was chosen and it didn't disappoint. I prefer softer breads with sandwiches. This one soaked up the juices. Fries were crisp, not overcooked and complete with a hint of seasoning. I add malt vinegar. Comfort pub food at its best. Two big screens to keep up with games. Will go again.

This local tucked away place is worth looking for. It's a small bar that offers both beer, wine well drinks and Pub food. The happy hour price is probably the best that I found in town Portland. Ice Pik Vodka drinks in a pint glass for $4... I'd say that's a killer deal for happy hour. This place is relatively small and can get crowded pretty quickly. But the food and the drinks are worth it! My girlfriend and I had the tomasso burger. I really liked it, she thought it was a little spicy but overall I thought it was a great burger and reasonably priced. The bar staff was very helpful and attentive. Don't make the mistake of parking in the parking lot in front of the building even after hours. Easily within walking distance from most of the East End hotels in downtown Portland.

Small place, 25 seats max I'd say. Food was good but this is moreso an elevated bar menu. Motha Clucka's app was simply delicious!! Although I wish you got more than 3 small Clucka's in the $8 basket. Buffalo chicken sandwich was a huge mess to eat. 4 breaded and tossed tenders on a hamburger bun with lettuce & tomatoes. I ended up having to eat the tenders separately since it doesn't stay together real well, which kind of defeats the purpose of a sandwich. The food was excellent, just not easy to handle without being a slob. Beer selection was great!! Bunker, Mason's, all kinds of local. Plus your standard Guinness, PBR and Narragansett and an array of liquors. Bartenders were fantastic too, I never waited more than a few seconds for anything (except food, obviously). Definitely...
