Wow, way to make someone comfortable. I've been in this area 19 years and deliver alcohol downtown. I never have the chance to take a lunch, but lately I'm like from now on I'm taking my 30 mins.
I've hit several places that I don't normally visit, and today was Bills Pizza.
I walked in and was thinking how good it smells. Walked up to the register, and she asked me "FOR HERE OR TO GO?" I said for here! She asks what I wanted, and I tell her. No issues.
I recognize an old friend working in the kitchen, and we chat for a minute. I take a seat basically anywhere cause it's dead in there at lunch time for some reason. After a few minutes my name is called.
I noticed they gave me a "to go box?" and I'm thinking ok, well I thought I said for here, But oh well. After a minute maybe 2 a young lady walks up and says, "Excuse me Sir, for future reference if you want to sit down and dine it, just sit down and we will serve you." I'm like oh ok, I'm sorry I didn't realize. It's actually like one of my first time eating here. She says no problem, enjoy.
So I put my head phones in and open a article I wanted to read, just trying to decompress in my 30 mins. But i guess it was more Serious than i thought.
Within less than two bites. Another young woman walks up. She says, "excuse me, excuse me, I hate to bother you!", I stop what I'm doing. She follows up with. "In case you didn't realize, if you want to sit at the tables you have to ask to be seated and we will come to you." I tell her yeah, the other young woman just told me, she said "well I needed to let you know anyways" she starts to explain the rules again to me, so basically thisnis my 3rd time hearing it in less than 10 mins. I tell her.. well maybe the lady at the register should of told me and I would of just sat down. Her reply is "WELL.. it's written all over the restaurant." I'm like where? She says, by the door. I look over and the door is covered in stickers and signs. I laugh. Cause you know IM STOPPING TO READ EVERY F*ING STICKER ON THE DOOR TO A PIZZA JOINT AS I WALK IN!
I say, maybe I should just go!!, her reply, "yeah that would be fine". Not... No, it's ok this time, or anything positive. Even though She has to see that this is starting to be a little agitating to me.
All I'm trying to do is eat a slice of pizza. And I'll be out your hair! I explained again as I get up and gather my food, that I haven't eaten here before, and she just smirks. At that point I said and I won't ever again. And her clap back is, "Well that's fine to"
All of this in under 12 mins of walking in.
Service gets ZERO STARS and to be honest, after sitting on the curb outside, I realized the pizza wasn't worth 10 cents anyways. I've had better microwave pizza. What a waste of 20 bucks and 30 minutes.
If it's a 5 star dining experience maybe you should have someone by the door waiting to seat us, instead of sitting on their asses in the corner chopping it up. Jesus lady, it's a pizza joint!! You ain't Rosa's or Papa's..
The conversation probably should of stopped the minute I explained that the other young lady already explained. A simple ok I didn't know she talked to you already would of been fine. But once you still continued to push your gestapo seating arrangements down my throat instead of your pizza, this rant would of never came about and maybe, just maybe you would of made a future customer who "obeys your laws" several times a week cause I love pizza. Guess Two Mama's right down the street will get my...
Read moreUpdate: I reached out to the owner about this and he responded immediately & apologized. I am very pleased with his response and if you take the guy with the pony tail beard out of the equation, I am sure this would be a great place to eat. It smelled amazing and the other people working there were nice.
I have never written a review before but I thought that this one was important. My son was craving pizza so we decided to try out Bill’s Pizza for lunch. I also had my sister in law with me and a friend. The place was crowded when we got there. We went in and we spoke to a dark haired kid who told us that there was a wait list and the wait would be around 20 minutes. We gave him our name (Michelle) and he told us to wait outside and we would be called. We went outside and waited. It took about 20 minutes and the kid came out calling for Michael. We did not answer because our name was Michelle. After some time we saw people going in and sitting so Michelle went in to ask. The kid apologized saying wrong name was called and pointed at a table for us to sit at. We sat and a little man with pony tail beard came to the table cleaning it saying “did someone tell you to sit here?” We said yes and he said “whatever” with an attitude. He came back aggressively throwing four menus on the table asking for drink order. He was asked him what beers they had and he said “we are out of beer”and then said very loudly “see I can lie like you”. All of us sat there staring at him not sure what was going on. He was asked if there was a problem and when I say this man lost his mind he literally lost his mind. He started screaming at us. The whole restaurant is looking at us. He is screaming at us to get out. We continue to sit there in shock and he continues to scream for us to get out. We get up to leave and I see the dark haired kid and I go up to him and say “can you please tell this man that you told us to sit at the table”. The crazy man came up to me again and with a very loud voice told me to get out and that he had the authority to kick a person out. I am a 60 year old woman who is a Chemical Engineer and my son goes to Embry Riddle. I have never seen someone act in such a way and hope to never see this again. This man has mental issues and should never be allowed to work...
Read moreMy husband and I were visiting Prescott and wanted to try this lovely looking pizza place. We walked in and walked up to the clearly marked to-go counter since we wanted to get a pie and take back to the hotel with us. Three different people told us to sit down if we were ordering in. All there times we said we wanted to order to-go. No one stopped what they were doing. Finally a man came out and asked what we wanted. We told him which pizza we wanted and he put it in and walked away. The girl at the counter started to ring us out and said it would be 25 mins. I asked what beer was on tap since we figured we'd drink a beer while we wait. She said if we are staying we need to sit at a table but to-go orders "we want to leave". What???
So then another woman(staff) walked up and said, go ahead and finish your to-go order here, Then start a tab at the table with one of the servers. For one drink? Okay, I guess. As we start to pay with the intention of sitting down. The man came back out and he tells us, no we'll do the whole thing from the table. So we now have 3 people telling us 3 different things. Lol I laughingly said, this restaurant is complicated, which seemed to rub the man the wrong way. He repeated the same "we don't want to-go orders sitting here, we want them to go"
Absurdly rude. I said I'm just trying to give you more business, you want that right? "He said you can, or you can get out" VERY rudely. I don't believe, other than being very confused, I did anything to deserve that. But it was clear to me this establishment does not want my business! We left. I've never felt more unwelcome somewhere. I love supporting local business and have been in the service industry myself so I'm fairly patient, knowing how tough a job it can be. It's a shame really, I hope others are treated with more respect here.
Edit: My husband and I went around the corner to Rosati's. The staff there is very friendly and the pizza is amazing. They made customers for life! I see Bill's doesn't care to respond to bad reviews and there are several about the terrible attitude. We...
