I parked the car and sent the kids in to get their dinner at 7:10pm tonight. A to-go order; two sushi rolls, a 4oz cup(??!) of Miso soup and an appetizer.
At 7:45pm my daughter sent me a text to let me know it should be ready soon.
When I went in myself at 7:50pm the greeter asked how he could help me. I pointed at my kids sitting directly in front of him and asked if their to-go order was ready yet.
He looked confused. Another person came over and, get this, asked me what they ordered. My daughter repeated her order to her, the same person that took her 45 minutes ago, and if she went.
With a total of 10 customers in the restaurant, they hadn't even started on our food. My kids told me on the way out that one group dining in had been served three sushi rolls each and came in AFTER my kids.
No one checked on them, no one asked any questions, and all I got when she finally handed over the good was a near-silent "Sorry for the wait".
Read my other reviews- I'm a nice guy. I always go easy on wait staff and I'm quick to excuse goofy service. This hour long wait for two rolls, an app, and some soup was...
Read moreGreat food that was presented wonderfully and served very quickly. Will definitely be returning. Sat at the bar and was able to see the rolls being made as they have an open kitchen. There were quite a few people already dining and a party of 8 came in shortly after we arrived but the food was still very quick out of the kitchen and delicious. Finished off the meal with fried ice cream (mint chip) that had a breading on it that I would eat on it's own. Overall it was an enjoyable experience with great food. This was my first visit but it surely will not be the last.
Edit: After going through my bank statement for other reasons I happened to notice that they double charged the tip amount I left. If I visit again I will not be tipping on that visit unless there's something extraordinary about it. I tipped in both cash and on my card for over a 15% tip for a party of two, but with the extra charge the overall tip was...
Read moreWe went to Ginza with friends that don't eat sushi, but wanted to try anything Asian-inspired since the closest we have in Prescott is Panda. Their site says they open for dinner at 5. We sat outside waiting & they finally let us in about 8 mins after. Our friends split the beef & fried rice. The beef was VERY tough, almost inedible. I had a roll, which tasted great but was cut in very uneven pieces. The hubby had the katsu chicken, which tasted good but was fried to oblivion. I sent the hubby back on a Wed. night to bring home a couple of rolls. Their site says they're open until 8:45, however when he arrived at 8:10 to order (I had tried to call to place our order, but they wouldn't answer the phone & no message as to hours of operation. Just continuous ringing) he finally caught the attention of a server who told him they were closed. So I guess they DON'T close at 8:45, they...
