Dr. Allen here. My wife and I love supporting local and checking out new places. We were excited to give this place a try on our day off. As fellow business owners, we wanted to share our honest thoughts. The Century Lounge is a cool and unique addition to Cortez St and the Prescott foodie scene. Gabriel, the cashier/barista, was very professional. He gave us a warm, genuine SMILE when we walked in (always appreciated) and was extremely polite. Although he was the only one working the morning we arrived, he did his best to prepare our order in a timely manner AND accomodate the line of customers that came in behind us. That's a lot of pressure but kudos to him for handling it with grace and finesse! Due to the fact this is a historic building, the space can get cold, naturally, but the space heaters were a welcome addition. Our vanilla/caramel lattes were absolutely sublime: served in a nice, warm mug at the perfect drinking temperature and not too sweet! Top that off with a flakey, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate croissant, and you've got yourself a winner! We also split a half ham & cheese and half proscuitto, apple, & brie sandwhich which unfortunately was a bit dry and, surprisingly, lacking in flavor. Don't wanna knock them too hard for that though. We really did like this place and would definitely come back for their coffee and pastries. Getting off the ground as a new business is a challenge for anybody and certain to have its share of growing pains. Hopefully, they can improve their sandwhiches/operations a bit. (Do this and I will be more than happy to give 5 stars!) Otherwise, they are off to a great start. Keep up the excellent customer care. Wishing y'all great success. I see The Century Lounge becoming a downtown staple/go to hangout spot for residents and...
Read moreI recently visited The Century Lounge, and it left a great impression. I would rate my overall experience a solid 4/5.
We ordered an iced pumpkin spice latte and two iced chai teas; each one had great flavor and was presented impeccably. The classic croissant and ham and cheese croissant were perfectly heated, making them a satisfying pair with our drinks.
What truly sets The Century Lounge apart is its cozy and nostalgic atmosphere. Housed in a nearly century-old building, the preservation of original features, such as the floors and ceilings, creates a warm and inviting environment. The decor exudes a vintage charm making it an ideal spot for a relaxed coffee break.
The staff, although incredibly friendly and quick to take orders, seemed a bit overwhelmed during our visit due to the limited workforce. This resulted in slight delays when a small crowd descended upon the café. However, their warmth and enthusiasm more than made up for it.
One standout feature was the original-looking bar where they serve from, adding a unique touch to the overall ambiance.
The Century Lounge is a hidden gem for those seeking a taste of nostalgia paired with quality beverages and pastries. While service during busy times might need a little improvement, the atmosphere and flavors make it a memorable stop for any...
Read moreIâm pretty positive theyâre racists. PLEASE IGNORE THIS PLACE ESP IF YOU ARE PEOPLE OF COLOR. Go to any other places and youâll feel much more welcome AND your drinks will also taste better haha I was so excited to try this new coffee shop in Prescott. Where you put an order is like right there as soon as you walk in. The barista was there. I said hi. He saw us coming in, immediately looked down and stayed looking down without any greetings or acknowledgements. Just total silence. I thought maybe he was just quiet. I ordered a drink, he stayed silent just punching in my order without glancing at least once, my partner put an order, the same thing. I thanked him after paying, he ignored me. We still stayed there for a bit and witnessed how he was definitely not ignoring all the customers coming in. Of course no one said bye to us even though they did to all the other customers. It was very obvious we were being treated differently. Oh also, we ordered two same drinks (desert honey latte) and one of them was much lighter than the other. I asked him if the lighter one still has espresso shots, he said that one has older milk so thatâs why itâs lighter đ€·đ»ââïž tasted like I was just drinking oat...
