Wow, true to their name! I try to not write bad reviews, but that goal went out the window at this place. Was looking forward to a few nice drinks here when visiting town but found the owner (or bartender? undetermined if this is the same person or not but dog was confirmed as theirs) keeps their dog left to roam the open establishment off leash & unattended, which led to my dog being jumped upon our arrival.
Briefly visited establishment only once before & asked same bartender if it would be ok to bring my leashed dog with me next time & was told that would be fine (without seeing or being informed about an off-leash dog kept on the premises). My dog is trained, very friendly with people & other dogs, but I routinely keep her on a leash in public, as any responsible dog owner - let alone business owner / employee - should. Upon our arrival, we approached the bar expecting to order a couple drinks & enjoy some time on the patio with our pup. While bartender was faced away with absolutely zero visibility on the loose dog, it was moments before the dog quickly targeted us & assailed mine. The outside ordering area is closely gated in & my dog being the only one under her owner’s control, there was no opportunity to avoid the confrontation, so I was forced to physically fend off the unleashed dog. Luckily, no blood was drawn so I figured it pointless to contact authorities & bartender offered no apology. We immediately left following this, shaken up & no longer caring to give the place our business. I was shocked the dog’s owner lets them roam around the place knowing they are at the same time welcoming patrons’ dogs, assuming they’ll be on-leash as is required by every other modern pet-friendly establishment (& likely the law, for that matter!). Yet another irresponsible dog owner & lost business.
The hubris is truly amazing these days. It’s a huge disappointment when irresponsible dog owners ruin experiences for responsible ones, especially in a state like AZ where summers are too hot to leave pups in the car & finding a dog-friendly patio is a gem. Scratch this place off the list if you're looking for a dog-friendly patio or appreciate business owners/employees who have respect for their customers. It’s only a matter of time before this loose dog causes real problems (if it hasn’t since our visit).
To boot, bartender herself was utterly apathetic, as she had been the visit before & the other time I had encountered her while she was bartending at another local bar. Nothing lost, just another new bar/tender that thinks they're...
Read moreI had an absolutely stellar experience at Fairweather Social Club in Prescott, AZ, and I can’t recommend this dog-friendly cocktail lounge enough! From the moment I walked in with my pup, the vibe was warm, welcoming, and effortlessly cool. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between casual and sophisticated, with warm lighting, local art on the walls, and a curated playlist that sets the mood without overpowering conversation. The outdoor patio, where dogs are more than welcome, is spacious and lively, making it the ideal spot for my furry friend to relax while I sipped on some of the best cocktails in town. The star of the show, though, was Aaron, the bartender and co-owner, whose expertise and passion for mixology truly elevate the experience. Aaron crafted me a cocktail that was nothing short of a masterpiece—perfectly balanced, with fresh, high-quality ingredients that made every sip a delight. His knowledge of spirits and natural wines is impressive, and he took the time to chat with me about the menu, offering personalized recommendations that made me feel like a regular. His warm, approachable demeanor added a special touch, making the night feel like a visit to a friend’s place rather than just another bar. The Fairweather Social Club is a gem for dog owners, with plenty of space for pups to chill and even water bowls to keep them happy. The rotating menu of craft cocktails, local beers, and curated wines ensures there’s something for everyone, and the live music and art events add a creative flair that makes every visit unique. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place is a must-visit for a memorable night out with your four-legged companion. Aaron and the team have created a true community hub that’s as dog-friendly as it is delightful. I’m already looking forward to...
Read moreThis place has a great concept with live music, beautiful art, and a creative setup that adds something unique to the Prescott scene. The space feels curated and intentional, and it’s obvious they care about aesthetics and the arts. That said, the atmosphere leans heavily into a very specific cultural vibe, let’s just say much more “progressive” than local Prescott roots. It feels like the kind of place built by folks who moved here for more freedom and affordability, but recreated the environment they left behind. Not necessarily a negative, but it may not be for everyone. Like many others have mentioned, the service is on the slow side. If you’re patient and into the artsy, progressive scene, you might enjoy it. If you’re looking for something more grounded and true to Prescott’s energy it may...
