I recently had the pleasure of experiencing an unforgettable evening at The Black Sheep restaurant bar, and I am thrilled to share my exceptional experience with you.
From the moment I walked in, the ambiance exuded warmth and sophistication. The attentive and friendly staff immediately made me feel welcome. I started my culinary journey with two outstanding drinks that left a lasting impression.
The first sip of the mangojuuce transported me to a tropical paradise. Its fresh and invigorating flavor was a perfect blend of sweetness and zest, offering a refreshing start to the evening. Equally impressive was the diablo ocho, which provided a delightful kick of spice without overpowering the senses. The expert craftsmanship that went into these drinks was evident with every sip.
To complement these fantastic beverages, I indulged in the wing night offerings. The wings were, without a doubt, the epitome of culinary excellence. Crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside, each bite was a symphony of flavors. The wings boasted a perfect balance of textures, and the careful attention to seasoning ensured a palate-pleasing experience that I won’t soon forget. The sauce of choice was the Buffaque
It’s worth mentioning that the overall presentation and attention to detail at The Black Sheep further elevated the experience. The commitment to quality and the passion for crafting unforgettable dishes and drinks shone through in every aspect of the evening.
In summary, my visit to The Black Sheep was an absolute delight. From the enchanting ambiance to the exceptional drinks and the delectable wings, every element of the experience was carefully curated and masterfully executed. It’s rare to find a place that excels in both drinks and food with such finesse. If you’re seeking an extraordinary dining and drinking experience, I wholeheartedly recommend paying a visit to The...
Read moreFirst off I just want to say I’ve never written a bad review before about a restaurant or their service. When we came in there was a full house, yes. The hostess took us into a back room that had an unplugged in arcade game, a folding table with folding chairs and three tables that matched the tables in the main room of the restaurant. Literally fine! We were sat at one of the tables and later the hostess made the other two a table for a party of ten. This room just seemed like a cheap way for the restaurant to make money when it was busy and I promise I would have rather waited 45 minutes for a regular table than what happened in this room. I’ll just say that a party of ten was sat after we came in (a party of 5) and cashed out when we did. We came in at 5:30 and left at 7:30. The party of 10 was fed 45 minutes before us and cashed out and left. We took our food in to go boxes!!!! It was literally insane, the waitress never apologized not once just kept telling us the restaurant was super busy. At one point I got up to go to the bathroom and we had been waiting for our food for an hour and 30 minutes and I came face to face with the waitress and instead of saying NOTHING she says “ugh don’t worry the rest of the restaurant is really busy it’s not just you” as if I was going to complain & I truly wish I was! $130 for cold appetizers, a rude a*s waitress, mediocre entrees and literally no compensation for a clearly CLEARLY terrible experience. 2 hours and we literally took our food in to go boxes COLD. Restaurant had like four empty tables when we left and hostess was on her phone didn’t even say sorry or LOOK at us. Wish I talked to a manager but I’ve never even done that...
Read moreCame here for brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday and I never been so disappointed in the service + food at a place before. They offer a brunch menu (with vegan options) and have coffee but have 0 dairy alternatives which I found strange that if you're going to 1. offer brunch and 2. have vegan options then maybe have oat / almond milk for the coffee? I ordered the vegan breakfast tacos while my friends ordered the regular breakfast tacos and they bring out ONLY the normal breakfast tacos and almost serve me meat/eggs. I had to wait another 20 minutes for them to make my tacos, which was surprising seeing as the vegan tacos were 90% JUST egg, a SPRINKLE of the impossible meat and a spoonful of gauc, why did this take so long to make? And why am I paying $13 for a lazy breakfast taco that I could have easily made at home that would have absolutely tasted better and more flavorful. Thank God that they had hot sauce on the table because oh man, did my sad tacos need it. And at the end of the brunch, the server disappeared and I had to walk up to the bar to ask for our check after we were all waiting (clearly done eating and ready to go) and then after getting the check, we all had to do they "let's stare at the bar and hope the bartender will notice to come get the check" look. Eventually the bartender saw and came to get our check so we could finally pay and leave. I'm a pretty patient person and have worked in good service before so I try not to be critical but wow, I am absolutely not coming here again for food and will be steering my vegan friends away from this place. The home fries were bomb though. That was the one positive of...
