I can not express the unpleasant experience I had with this place as my first visit. Hopefully they will take my review into consideration: Yesterday my spouse and I came into your restaurant and had Not the so called experience with Andrew. Andrew was very rude and seemed annoyed as well as overwhelmed and very unprofessional. Although we considered to return to your restaurant in the future Andrew has made it very unlikely. He was extremely rude and ill-mannered.Upon arrival myself and one other person from the 7 guests that I had sat down at the bar. At this time I knew it was busy considering the event going on. BUT what struck me was not one person from the bar acknowledged me stating “I will be with you in one moment” or “Iam sorry we are really busy I will be with you in just a sec”. After waiting 20 minutes I finally asked a gentleman if he would be so kind to order my drinks and if not who do I need to speak to in order to do so. At this time he states I will get someone for and that just so happen to be Andrew. Andrew at this time Seemed annoyed and bothered and said very rudely while rolling his eyes states “as you can see we are really busy so what do you want”? WHAT!! Was my expression at this moment. I didn’t state this to him but this was definitely on my mind the fact that me and my 7 guests were waiting for 20 minutes and he had the nerve to approach us this way. Due to this it has steered us away. Not only was he rude his attitude was far from professionalism to where 1 out of my 7 guests that I invited to this restaurant experienced a very unpleasant experience. My guest happened to go to the bathroom and because the parade was getting closer I decided to check on my friend in the bathroom to let him know and at this time my friend was walking out and you can hear and see Andrew saying “Get the hell out of here and don’t ever come back” at this time I signaled my friend to follow me outside to the parade. If he is not given proper training on how to deal with the customers, I am sure your business will suffer. I am informing you as I do not want other people feeling this way. Customers are the spine of any business and they deserve respect and kindness. I am sure you will take...
Read moreWhat an incredible gem in the heart of Providence! My husband and I dined there for the first time and absolutely loved it!
There were couples, families, and groups of friends gathered there for dinner. You don't usually find a restaurant that is well suited for such a variety of diners, but it works! There are also some lovely intimate tables upstairs that are perfect for couples!
The atmosphere made me think of an old neighborhood establishment where everyone is made to feel right at home. The staff were all so very pleasant to each other and to the patrons of the restaurant. It added to the experience.
Their drink menu had so many unique cocktails. I had the Elvis and it was absolutely delicious! We got the RES rangoons, recommended by a friend. These did not disappoint! They were cooked to perfection and served with an incredible dipping sauce. Even the presentation was perfect! My husband got the sirloin as his entree. He said it was the best steak he had ever had, so of course I thought he was exaggerating. Nope....I took a bite and it was so flavorful and tender, I had to agree with him! It did make me a little jealous that I didn't order one as my entree. I got the stuffed pork chop which was delicious as well! Cooked to perfection and so flavorful! I am pretty sure you can't go wrong with anything on their menu!
Top notch service, incredible food, great location....you won't be...
Read moreWe had dinner on one of their first nights open, and what a great place! It has been nicely updated. The first floor has a large hip bar with hightops as well as tales and a dining area. Upstairs was perfectly decorated in an upscale but still cozy atmosphere. There are great two-top couches facing the large floor to ceiling windows that are perfect for any date night!
As far as why we go out to eat, the drink and food! Cocktails were good and a nice take on old world cocktails tweaked with a modern twist. Many of the cocktails on their menu were on the sweeter side, but don't fret as I ordered a manhattan off the menu and it came perfect! The food was delicious and well presented. The Molly's shrimp was a bit messy but one of the most flavorfull shrimp dishes I've had (And I spent time in SE Asia). The Fried Green Tomato Caprese was a wonderful way to mix a fried flavor and texture into a delicious simple, yet elegently stacked salad. I would reccomend this highly! As far as the main courses went, the Butter Aged Sirloin was one of the best steaks I have had in quite a while. It was full of flavor that was nice matched (and not overpowered) by the sauce. The Ocean Risotto was full of delicious shelfish with a perfeclty made risotto and VERY reasonable...
