The customer service at this ice cream shop was disappointing. We arrived for a birthday party with six kids, but the staff seemed unaware of our earlier arrangements. When we arrived the place was empty and the tables were dirty, when I asked Angel to clean one, he responded dismissively and said he couldn’t reserve tables, which I hadn’t requested. After waiting ten minutes, he said he was helping customers and proceeds to hand me a 409 spray bottle and suggested I clean the table myself in front of a line of customers which was very rude. Eventually, one of his coworkers cleaned the table and dismissed his behavior saying he was under pressure. There was no apology for his behavior. When a friend raised the issue, Angelo defended his behavior, claiming it was about how you talk to people I never raised my voice I was asking for the second time to clean the table and this was how I was treated. We were the only black people in the store so I cant help but wonder if that had anything to do with the utter disrespect. Customer service training is needed, de escalation training is needed. Like the saying goes if you can’t stand the heat get out the kitchen.

The owner responds by making excuses for bad behavior and making very misleading statements clearly very unprofessional and no accountability

When we arrived the restaurant was empty so you are lying

You guys simply did not care about us as customers because we arrived before the rush I asked again during the rush and that’s when the outburst happened so lying again

Is the Health department aware that your cleaning supplies are not stored in a separate cabinet but are in close proximity to where you serve your food?

Is the Health department aware that you have non employees behind the counter in the area where you handle food

I guess a ServSafe training is needed

Did your worker change his glove after grabbing the spray bottle and then going back to serving the ice cream?

They said thank you for the goods not the service there is a difference

My cousin left after the scene your employee made and came back reluctantly for the sake of the party

You keep saying for the children for the children did your employee think of the children when he tried to hand me a spray bottle and yelled at me??????????

Asking someone twice to clean a table is now considered rude and aggressive behavior

Anyways the business is closing...

I don’t normally write reviews but this place deserves it.

If you're anything like me you'll think to yourself "Café by day and ice cream by night? Probably only good for one or the other." WRONG They do it and they do it well. To start off with the coffee, it is AMAZING. Their specialty lattes are exactly what you were hoping for when you order them. They honestly exceeded my expectations every time. I always think it'll last me the morning however, by the time I'm done driving, it's gone. The breakfast items are delicious. The croissant has the perfect amount of crunch to combat the softness of the toppings. Now the baked goods. 10/10 amazing literally words cannot explain. You can taste how fresh and made with care each item is. And the ice cream? So insanely cool and so insanely good. They have such a good combination of flavors and textures. Anything you can get from here is both aesthetically pleasing and delicious which is often hard to come by. Like literally, every item. Lastly the staff. AMAZING they're so sweet and hardworking. Whether it's 8 am or 8:45 pm I've been greeted with a smile and amazing service. I'm leaving Rhode Island tomorrow, and I think this will be one of the few places that I will genuinely miss. Every aspect of this business is a 10/10.

TLDR: I love this place, so will you, and I will see you guys tomorrow morning. đŸ©·

Ps. Make sure to add tip because...

Wanted to go here for a while and finally made it, this ice cream spot is definitely a vibe. Very gorgeous appearance inside and out.

But hopefully the owners find a new location or modify it soon. Because there is NO BATHROOM. That loses a star for accessibility.

The ice cream itself is tasty, I got the Ube flavor with toppings, in a cup with a cone on top. I asked for a Nutella filled cone. There was a dime sized amount of Nutella in the tail of the cone. When I saw it on IG I thought there would be more? Also my boyfriend and I were literally order #1 and our cones weren’t fresh. I’m Very confused. But again, overall it was okay. But also loses a star.

My final quip about the shop though, was that once I had my fill of my ice cream, I asked if they had covers or tops for the serving cups. They do not. They didn’t really think ahead on that one, apparently you’re just supposed to eat a mountain of ice cream in one sitting or throw away what you can’t eat and waste it? Especially for the price point? Yet another star lost.

I’m sure I could think of more cons to pros about this place, but I don’t want to not like it. It is a good joint, but it’s so niche that like
It’s a spot you go to for an Instagram photo, or a date once. Maybe once a year. Not really much allure to drive you to come back...

Ever since I had @Cafecito I’ve been craving a crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e latte and crostada for breakfast. Their cubed croissants are so indulgent. They’re open Wednesday-Sunday, make sure to stop in for some of the best lattes, pastries, a refresher, sandwich or croissant. 📍Providence, RI #providence #rhodeisland #cafe #latte #breakfast #foodies #pvd #viralfood #cubecroissant

Never had taiyaki, so wasn’t sure what to expect, but I did not leave disappointed. The focus of this place is the cone, which is the taiyaki. The ice cream itself is nothing special, just soft serve, although they have unique flavors you won’t find elsewhere like matcha and ube. The taiyaki itself was delicious. They are all freshly baked, and have a texture that is more chewy than crunchy. When the ice cream melts it soaks some of it up and takes on the flavor. The filling is a bit lacking, but still a unique cone that you won’t find elsewhere. Their menu has some good flavor combinations and you also have a build your own option. The toppings are good (love that they have Maria cookies!) but they’re a bit stingy with them, especially compared to the amount of ice cream they give you. Prices are a little high in my opinion, but not out of line for being on Fed Hill. It does get very busy, so I would recommend going early to beat the crowds. A word of advice, don’t come here and get a cup. You get a mini taiyaki with it but it’s definitely not going to give you the same delicious taste as the cone version!

I don't understand why people are fine with being ripped off and paying absurdly high prices for a tiny portion of watery/bland ice cream when there's so many better options around. You get a very small serving of basic bland soft serve with light toppings in a super tiny fish biscuit. The taiyaki is "filled" with less than a teaspoon of filling! The fish biscuit also gets soggy quickly because of how fast the ice cream melts, seriously, is it made with water? At most shops, a small coned soft serve with light toppings will run you around $2. These are quadruple that price. Do you think that a mini taiyaki worth 25 cents at the local Asian market is worth the extra $6? So, so many better, cheaper places around. Also, despite claiming there's a "latin twist" to their food, there's nothing latin about it.
