Muldowney's Pub — Restaurant in Providence

A group of friends and i went here recently and I was unfortunately super disappointed in the 5 minutes we were there. I’ve only heard good things about this place and I was stoked to enjoy a beer here on a Friday night out. When we arrived, my buddy went to buy our round of drinks, and he provided a passport for ID. Done it plenty times before , and it was accepted before and after we left this place. However, for some reason the bartender would not accept it, saying it’s “fake”, not actually him and overall just being rude about it. Again- his ID was accepted every time before on nights out in PVD, and even before and after on that night. Unfortunately they lost 4 tabs that night and I doubt I’ll ever...

Was looking to grab drinks with my girl friends, all of which are graduate students obtaining their masters degrees. We tried to start our night with Muldowneys, but the bartender flat out accused one of my friends (25) of carrying a fake ID. The server made no effort to ask my friend if she had a different form of ID on her, but instead, simply refused to serve her.

We had JUST flown in on multiple flights and made our way through multiple airports. I’m not sure what fake ID can get someone through TSA but not a beer at a bar.
