so I took a whale watching tour with this company and we saw a few whales. I thought I would bring along my drone and whenever the time was right I launched the drone without asking any of the members. Of course they said whoever launched the drone you need to land it right away. Then one of the crew members came over and told me that I shouldn't disturb the whales with my drone....
After I thought about it for a little while I realized they are chasing these poor animals around the harbor with 100 ton ship.
Not giving them any room for space that they need to go on about their private lives. So I'm fairly certain my 63 Oz drone wasn't going to disturb them in any fashion whatsoever. I haven't contacted them yet but I certainlyhave my own opinion about the matter I think it has to do with their shipboard photographer and any pictures I would have gotten would have been far better than anything he could have.    Read moreThe Captain John boats whale watching crew seemed inexperienced along with the naturalist had very little knowledge! Having not much to say along with repeated stats on the whales. I've been on many whale watches and the I could of talked more about the whales! One deficated in the water.. (this is great for the ocean.....) why? She never said. We chased.. wasted time.. trying to keep up with a distant whale which never got to see up close. They say a 3 to 4 hour trip... They make sure it's a 3 hour trip. They only run these whale watch trips 2 months out of the year when the other companies (Dolphin fleet) run May through October which will tell you alot. They follow other whale watching boats that know where to go.. Groupon has a good deal on tickets for this whale watch which makes up for the inexperienced company... I'll be taking the Dolphin whale watching fleet next...

The operators are very knowledgeable and skilled and give you a good educational talk on whales in the area which was great. 10 miles into the Atlantic, the boat stopped, I don't know how they figured the right spot but a few minutes we spotted our first whale which made everyone excited, that was the beginning of a whale watching whale fest. We ended up by the end seeing more than seven whales, it was a great and exciting experience. A truly fun trip. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would do it again. Highly recommend it. Important to note that there are no grants you'll see whales...
