Service was terrible, food wasnāt any better. We made a reservation for 6:30, I arrived at 6:30 to see the entire restaurant full with no place to sit. Had to temporarily sit at the bar (5 people with 2 open bar stools so pretty much just a cluster of people at the bar). Upon finally getting a table the waiter only asked 2/5 guests at our table if they wanted anything else other than water to drink. Then I guess decided to choose for the other 3 of us and took off towards the bar. He was then gone for probably about 10 minutes when he came back I was able to get his attention and order my sprite, both of my brothers then tried to order theirs after but after taking my order he just took off back to the bar my brother mid sentence. When the waiter came back probably after another 10 minutes to take our order my dad just sort of butted in and ordered 3 sprites, then my mom attempted to order chips and guac but he did the same thing he did to my brothers mid sentence just took off my mom even raised her voice and tried to say excuse me louder but he either ignored it or didnāt hear it. So he finally came back to get our order for food which actually went smoothly and he didnāt run off anywhere mid order, and my mom was able to order the chips. Drinks went empty and we didnāt see our waiter again until the food came out, meanwhile another waitress brought a pitcher of water out even though by this point we all had sprite (she still did more then our waiter though). He finally came back by with the food, and we all ordered refills. So I ordered the Monte Cristo Waffle Sandwich, I really like a good Monte Cristo usually. Never had one on a waffle but it honestly sounded good and looked good. However what I got was a soggy waffle with microwaved flavorless lunch meat and maybe cheese. There was almost none of the jelly/jam on the sandwich overall it was just a terrible experience. I tried to ask for a side cup of the jam to add more flavor and just got rudely told that āWe already put it on thereā and then the dude just took off again. By the time we left I was so ready to leave that place. Itās almost like every time I eat at a place in town /Pueblo Iām consistently reminded of why I need to travel to nearby cities for good food and service instead. The waiters tip definitely reflected his quality of service, I wish you could do the same for the food too. Major thumbs down. Came with good recommendations too I was extremely disappointed. Either way I would avoid this place. And I personally will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst of all, I want to say that I leave serious reviews. Not reviews based on being disgruntled or simply being oversensitive to a situation. I know that people read reviews and would like to truly know how the experience was. Here is my honest review. We went to this restaurant as a family. Two families with a total of seven people. The waitress greeted us kindly but began to tell us everything that was NOT available that night on the menu. I believe she listed at least five items. Really? That seems like a lot of menu items to be missing right off the bat. When asked about draft beers, to which there were at least 8 on their menu she replied "yeah, we don't have any of those we only have three. We're pretty much all out." Okay, strike two. We began to order. My husband asked about the guac/queso/salsa dips that stated it came with tortillas and vegetables for dipping. His question, "what kind of vegetables are included"? She replied, "Oh yeah, that's a mistake on the menu. They're actually aren't vegetables included with that. I've told my manager for several weeks about that but they won't change it." Who is running this place? I thought, and why aren't they reprinting the simple one-sided paper menus if it is wrong?
She was very kind and attempted to make exchanges for certain people in our party. However, that being said, most of what came out from the kitchen was incorrect as to what was actually ordered. One of the things on the menu was a grilled club sandwich. It specifically stated it was on "huge sourdough bread". Indeed, it was not huge and not sourdough. My club sandwich came out and was on small white bread. To add insult to injury, they used four butt ends of the bread for my sandwich! My husband, daughter and sons orders were all incorrect. I could actually continue with all the problems we encountered at this restaurant but I will spare the rest of the ugly details. I would recommend passing this place by and spending your hard earned...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA mediocre restaurant blessed with a great location on the Riverwalk. The menu has a number of really interesting items whose execution unfortunately falls flat.
In the interest of full disclosure, my first time eating here is during the 4th of July so perhaps the crowds have strained their capacity.
The Pineapple wrap had a lot of potential, but the "coleslaw" was essentially just red cabbage without any sort of dressing. The "teriyaki" chicken had the slightest hints of anything resembling a sauce. The Pineapple, large juicy chunks, were the only thing that really saved it and even those were too large for their own good as each half of the wrap had maybe 3 chunks of Pineapple. The Pineapple salsa? Nonexistent. The red onions we requested be sauted, the waiter said they would, but they were absent from the actual dish.
The waffle sandwiches are a phenomenal concept that really, really under delivers. For the "Turkey Bacado", one would expect something resembling cheese or green chilies in a "green chili beer cheese waffle", though as far as we could tell it was just a regular waffle. The turkey was good, but just regular lunch meat. The guac/avacado was good, as was the bacon, but the portion size did not fit the $14 price tag, even with a decent side of fries.
Speaking of the fries - both sweet potato (no upcharge!) and regular - were great, well cooked and seasoned. The hummus platter appetizer was similarly excellent. Add in friendly and decently attentive staff, and it's a place that is worth giving a try. I know I'll probably come back at some point, but this experience definitely didn't leave me with any urgency to do so. Table 67, Angelo's, and Bru's all offer a similar Riverwalk dining experience with arguably better food and drink selections, not to better mention...
