I really hate leaving a one star rating on a business that has such good reviews, but I was very disappointed in their customer service. One of the reasons I stopped in to talk to them was because of their good reviews. I stopped into the store one morning and inquired about having a pair of diamond stud earrings (.98 ctw) put into new settings. I asked if that was something that they do, and they said yes. The gentleman I spoke with was very friendly, stated that his mother is the one who does the work, but she was currently at home because she injured her foot. He measured the diamonds, we discussed settings (screw back versus friction posts) type of gold I preferred.....he said he was not familiar with the three prong martini setting, but would call her to get an estimate on what the cost would be, and would more than likely call me later that day to let me know the cost. Three days later I had not received a call, so I called them. Not sure who I spoke with, but the gentleman said that he remembered that I was in, and that he would check on the estimate and would return my call ASAP. I also told him that if they had an issue getting me an estimate on a three prong martini setting, that they could just give me an estimate on a classic four prong setting. He said ok, he would let me know. Another week passed, never received a call, so I ended up going into Carleo Creations, and 10 business days later I had my earrings in their new settings.(wonderful experience and beautiful work)...and yet, still had not received a call back from Irby Jewelers. All in all, almost a month passed in the process. From their reviews it sounds as though they do amazing work with clocks and watches, so maybe other areas (such as jewelry settings/repairs), are not...

This shop is amazing!

I just got a Tissot watch as a gift last week and tried to size it down myself. After spending 15 minutes trying to poke the pins out to remove links I decided to take it to a jeweler. I went to Dillard’s, Kay’s (who tried to charge me $60), and Riddle’s - none of them could get the pins out or the links off. As a last ditch effort I went to Irby’s and I’m so happy I did!

They held onto my watch for me, keeping it safe while they worked on finding a solution. They ended up manufacturing a brand new tool to safely get the pins out and size my watch down. It’s perfect! I can’t even begin to say how thankful I am - this team really went above and beyond.

Outside of that - this is an awesome family run shop. It’s so pleasant to talk to this team and it’s clear how much they care about their shop! I will absolutely be back (they sell really gorgeous antique jewelry and I want my husband and I to update our wedding bands there).

Ir ys is the best place to take your watch, clock or jewelry for repair. If you think its too old or not fixable they will find a way or fabricate the part . The best clock and watch repairman really knows his his clocks and watches and if you need expert knowledge on any cock watch or jewelry. They can spot a fake or let you know if its authentic, even customize or make from scratch . No better place to take your watch clock or jewelry. Irby's has the friendliest staff that will put their all into make sure the customer gets what they need. The best pricing as well nobody can fix or find, customize or sell you a better clock or watch. Its just too bad they only allow 5 stars bc Irbys is better...
