We had been wanting to try this place for quite a while. On the plus side it had a friendly staff member. The sitting area was clean, as was the serving area. The issue was the actual product. There weren't many flavors (maybe 8-10). It didn't seem to be a good use of the space they were occupying, but perhaps something better suited for Fuel and Iron. The sample feature turned out to be useful, as most of them my kiddo didn't care for. While the staff member was friendly he wasn't very knowledgeable as when we asked about contents of several flavors, we received I'm not sure or I don't know as a response, even when the answer to one of our questions turned out to be an oversight on our part and on the customer facing label. The flavors seemed to be for certain taste buds and also for those that couldn't process lactose maybe (almond milk and such)? In any case, nice little establishment, but definitely not for a kiddo used to more traditional flavors and not our thing. I'd give it a try for your family before ruling it out though, as I see several good...
Read moreDropped in here after boating at Pueblo Reservoir. What a find! They give samples of their homemade, small batch (rotating, I think) ice cream flavors until you find your match. There was a unique flavor from Middle East, I believe, with pistachio and possibly saffron or turmeric. It wasn’t overly sweet and very unique. I opted for the coffee toffee as I was craving both coffee and ice cream, and that flavor hit the spot. It was a perfect balance of coffee and not too sweet from the toffee. My son tried the mystery flavor Blue Moon (offered in Dairy Free too). I detected some amaretto, but the owner is good - neither affirming or denying the flavor with a devilish grin. The waffle cone was a delight - thin crispness with cinnamon finish. Didn’t realize it was GF until I read reviews later. Bonus! (But verify if you need GF.) The owners were as sweet as their treats. We’ll be making this a regular stop when we...
Read moreWhat an awesome little spot on the historical Union Avenue; it was a great treat for my daughter and I the other afternoon. We got a pint of one of the coolest flavors I ever heard of: Colorado Cornbread. I was not sure if I wanted everyone to know, because I was coveting the remaining PINTS FOR MYSELF! 🥵🫣
We got the Honeycone flavor, and the Old School Vanilla, I believe. I might be wrong, because the kid always gets chocolate
Anyway, I read a news article about them and they MAKE THEIR OWN CONES daily and make the ice cream from scratch. Really is a BETTER PLACE TO GO THAN a corporate chain that begins with D and ends in Q. Not even kidding.
But, no negative comments about Craft Cones. As a connoisseur of sweets, I highly recommend this spot
I GUESS---get a pint of Colorado Cornbread But leave me one,...
