We had this food twice when it used to be a food truck, and it was the best burger we’ve had. We visited Pueblo today and we were excited to see that a restaurant opened up, so we decided to stop in and try it. The lady working was very busy cooking, as she was still prepping someone’s plate, she asked what we would like. It probably would’ve been best to wait until she could ring the order in, since the order ended up being wrong. I ordered the Gyro with no onions and a side of fries. My husband ordered the French dip with fries. It took about 15 minutes to get the food, not bad at all considering they were busy and it appeared the lady was the only one working, taking orders, cooking and running food to tables. Our food came, but it was 2 French dips. I told the lady that I ordered the Gyro. She then proceeded to tell me I ordered 2 French dips. I then repeated my order, and she said ok, I’ll have to go make it. In the meantime, my husband tried his French dip, it was very dry and tasteless. He was disappointed because he loved their food before. After seeing his food, I decided to ask for a refund since the lady hadn’t started making my new order, and she was very busy getting other orders made. She once again told me she thought I ordered the French dip. I said does it have onions on it? She said no, I said ok then, I specifically said no onions, which means I ordered the Gyro. She finally apologized and said it’s been hectic. I understand how challenging it can be handling all that rush, and I always try to support small businesses. I suggest going back to a food truck where the owner cooks the food that he did such a great job with before. Or if the restaurant remains open, I suggest adding an extra employee so it’s not so overwhelming for one person to handle. We won’t be returning, especially since we live 45 minutes away, not...
Read moreMy husband and I went to the Fuel & Iron for a bison gyro on 5/18/2024. We had just met and talked with the owner, who was visiting the Blue Buffalo Soapery across the street. We asked them about a good place to eat in Pueblo, and he said his food was great. C'mon, we had to try it out after his review of his own food! It was wonderful! The gyro was well made with just enough of everything to blend--onions, lettuce, tomatoes, sauce. The bison meat was perfectly cooked and had a very good blend of herbs. Even better--we didn't know it came with a side, and we picked fries. I figure if you can make fries and they're not greasy, they are hot, they are crunchy on the outside but soft and steamy inside...they were perfect! I didn't even have to smother them in catsup/ketchup. All in all, a great experience. If you've never been, they are located inside a building that has a number of food choices, like pizza, baked goods, and even an alcohol bar! Ambiance was great (and bathrooms were clean). I highly recommend The Hungry Buffalo...I cannot wait to go back and try those empanadas but the amount of food you get is large and I had to share half with the...
Read moreI booked their food truck for my wedding this last weekend and these folks are amazing. The food was incredible, best wedding food I have ever had. Chef Chuck made sure that everything fit my budget and was perfect day of. Chuck and his team were incredible!! All the food came out on time and was delicious, so good that everyone gave him and his team a standing ovation that was more than well deserved. They made our wedding day so perfect. If you are looking for a food truck for an event or wedding just give them a call, they take a lot of pride in what they do and it shows in their cooking. They are also veteran owned/operated which means a lot to me coming from a military family. It made me happy to support their dream when they have sacrificed for us to have our American dream. Thank you guys for your service and for making my wedding unforgettable! Congrats on the restaurant as well you guys deserve it!
