Michelino's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Rahway

Don't come here unless you want to watch a drug deal take place and then be threatened/accosted by some young thug-wannabes. My daughter and I went in the middle of the afternoon and from the moment we entered the parking lot, we saw a suspicious looking young man standing by the window. We went inside and saw that he was looking at his three friends inside. The second man went outside to be with his friend. We thought nothing of it and proceeded to order our food. Another older man entered and asked the cashier for change and went outside. The older man went back outside and then gave one of his bills to the young man and got a small bag of something (obviously drugs) in return. A drug deal in broad daylight!

The two girls with them started harassing us- staring at us and laughing. One girl went outside and started staring at my daughter through the window. It started feeling very odd and quite threatening. They were clearly upset with us. I asked, "Can I help you?" She (eventually) said that they didn't understand why we were talking about their guys and why we were looking at what they were doing outside. The other girl came back inside and started yelling at us about "why we talking about her man?!" and saying that "we can do whatever we want" when I said they weren't allowed to carry-on like that. It got pretty heated and I ended up calling the police. The policeman later told us that this girl is just trouble and has had multiple run-ins with them. But to what outcome? Obviously she is not afraid of anything they can do and has not cleaned up her act.

The workers inside DID NOTHING while all of this occurred. The cashier actually asked me what happened and what they were doing (this made the girl quite mad that we were talking at her but whatever). They didn't try to intervene or ask the teenagers to leave or anything. Even when the girls started walking closer to us and yelling at us. The delivery guy kept walking by but ignored the whole scene. Another worker went into the back, the cashier didn't know what was going on. At one point one man came out and stood by to watch but did not help or stop them. This was the most upsetting part of the whole ordeal. I've been coming to this pizzeria for the past 13 years and this is what I have to deal with while the staff stood idly by. What if something did happen? What if the police took longer to arrive? I hate to even think about what may have happened to myself or my daughter at the hands of these kids (who clearly were raised by reality TV shows).

ALSO... The pizza isn't even good anymore. These past years I've eaten here out of sheer desperation. It's the closet pizzeria nearby and so close to the train station. It was really soggy and really unimpressive. When I have the time to wait for delivery, I'd rather order from the other pizzerias in Rahway and surrounding towns.

I don’t know where to start I came in there my first time I was picking up a delivery for grub hub it was a big order at least 3 pies plus seafood so I expected a small delay the moment I walked in I was greeted immediately by the entire staff I spoke to the man at the register to let him I know I was here for a pickup he immediately noticed that I was here for the big order and told me just a few more mins which was great because I was expecting longer. Then he politely asked me to have a seat in the restaurant and also asked if I would like a free slice of pizza as I waited ! I’ve been working with Uber and grub hub for years and never not once was asked if I was hungry and would like food as I waited not only that but he also offered me a free drink and a dessert I mean this is just customer service at its finest ! Of course I took his offer and for my first time being there I completely enjoyed my pizza it was a 9.7/10 I mean unbelievably good I’m half Italian so I know a good slice when I have one.
