To start, let me tell you, I have gone here probably 10-12 times so far, and the food is consistently the best I've had by far.
I've ordered almost every sandwich, and they're incredible. I don't know what the man and his shop does to their sandwiches, but they're incredible every single time. Nothing looks put together in a hurry, regardless of how many people he has in the shop. I've been there and I'm the only one, and I've been there and there are 10-15 people. It varies, and I've always been treated with a smile and as fast as possible. The sides! Two sides with every sandwich purchase! Wow! And they're not afraid to lay it on the plate. You will be full walking out of that restaurant. If you haven't gone here yet, do it. I promise there is no better shop for sandwiches out there in Raleigh or the surrounding area, and I always try sandwiches wherever I go.
Also, he makes lattes, and they're absolutely fantastic as well. A small is about 16oz, and It's incredibly flavourful and the milk is steamed perfectly every time!
One more thing... the shop has an incredible vibe! You will walk in and see vintage art and toys. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well, and he does to-go orders as ...
Read moreJerome and Luciano came to my rescue as I was in dire need of finding a small, cozy venue for a baby shower. We planned on about 20+ people and wanted a stress free option so we could enjoy our guests, many who were out of towners and not have to worry about clean up, set up, food, drinks, etc. Normally Sosta Cafe isn't open on the weekends, but when approached about the idea, Jerome and Luciano were open to helping us out. They worked with us to plan food, date/time, expectations, etc and maintained consistent contact to ensure everything fell into place as planned. They were so friendly, great to work with, efficient and we couldn't ask for a better venue. The food was amazing, and everyone raved about the 3-bean fair trade coffee...most had 2-3 cups it was so good! It's a bummer the cafe isn't open on the weekends because I would definitely spend time there sipping a chai and reading a good book with a tastey Riviera sandwich. I highly recommend checking out Sosta, even if going for lunch or if you have an...
Read moreOur first time here. It was as good as I had heard. Servings are huge: my husband and I split our meal (Poulet with chickpeas and canellini beans salads). My nephew ate half of his meal and took the other half home for dinner. Everything was just right: the bread, the fillings, the spices -- and you could taste the freshness. The beans and chickpeas were obviously cooked in-house, not canned. Although it seems like a no-frills place (from the whiteboard sign outside the shop to the decor and setup inside) attention has been paid to the right things. There is no waiter service - you order at the counter and the owner brings your order to the table. There were perhaps 6 tables inside plus a sofa and seat in a corner where a couple was playing chess while they ate. There are also a few small tables outside. The plates and glasses were simple but solid, as was the napkin-wrapped silverware. Just a really nice, relaxed and relaxing vibe. I see us...
