My family and I have been coming to u-Grill for years now and we all consider it to be one of the best KBBQs in the Inland Empire. There’a a massive variety of meats and small plates. Although the small plates and side dishes aren’t the most authentic, they’re damn good. If it wasn’t AYCE I would honestly come here just for their steamed egg & soy bean stew. But since it is AYCE kbbq of course we always order a ton of meat.
Most of the other kbbqs in the IE have really dry brisket, which is the meat you should start with. But the brisket here is the perfect mixture of meat and fat that doesn’t leave you looking for water to chug after the first bite. One of my top two things to order from their meats is definitely their beef belly. I will say that this time around it wasn't as good as it used to be, but how can you complain about beef bacon, right? Their menu has two options, you can get the regular or the premium menu. If you don’t get the premium, you’ll be missing out on beef tongue, mussels, galbi, pork jowl, their insanely massive, tender, and juicy premium steak, and so much more. It’s only an $8 difference between the two menus and honestly you could get your money’s worth with just half of the premium steak. The premium steak is the only meat portion picture I took because I didn’t plan on writing a review, but I’ll definitely follow up with a check-in in the future!
I definitely wish their side dishes were better but we’re really there for the meat anyways. Definitely keep in mind that the wait can be anywhere from 30 minutes to three hours but however long you wait, it’ll be worth it. Especially if you’re being served by Noah. He had to take on almost two times the amount of tables that he usually serves and he was still on it. He also was kind enough to stop and have a short conversation with us when the crowds started to die down. So glad that u-grill is always consistent with their food quality, quantity, and taste. And even more grateful that we had a great experience...
Read moreI went about a week ago and it was the most upsetting experience I’ve had to date. I had a problem with the employees not communicating to each other. The hostess forgot to tell the waiter that we were sitting in his area, therefore we weren’t being attended for a while. The manager said that he fixed the problem and that the waiter would introduce himself. The waiter did not introduce himself. He only came once to the table to pick up some dishes and the rest of the time another waiter was attending our table. The only way we were being served was by waving down any waiter we saw and ordering through them. I was confused on who I should be asking for food, and whether I should speak again with the manager. I expected him to fix any issues that were keeping his employees from serving us, but he didn’t do anything to ensure we were being served. He stopped by a couple times to ask if we were okay and every time I told him we were waiting on food, but we didn’t get it until we asked a waiter for it. I thought the slow and interrupted service was because they were understaffed; after glancing at the other tables, I saw that everyone was being served and really had no problems.
I go to this place a lot. Too much actually. It usually gives good service and I don’t have problems. This day was such a bad example of poor management. Poor time management, and poor manager on duty. It left such a bad experience that I don’t see myself going back. Not anytime soon. I really liked it because it’s usually a good place to meet my friend to have dinner. The manager could have fixed the problem at a premature state, but he didn’t. Show interest in keeping me as a guest. I payed my bill, but left no tip. I don’t like keeping tips, but this day showed what experience no one should have...
Read moreCame at 4pm 10/30. Food: Rice was COLD, sides have been sitting out for so long it tasted stale. I had to use cooked meat to heat the rice. General food is fine. Their lemonade was flat. Their soda, FLAT. All their money goes to lighting and their electricity with all those tvs.
WORKERS: The hostess needs to work on her courtesy. Learn to be respectful. Don’t demand and learn how to say please and thank you. The short one with the short-medium length ponytail and no makeup. You’ll catch her chilling at the long tables talking on the phone sometimes. Our waiter wasn’t the greatest and consistently let our bbq grill sit in the fire when we needed a change. It wasn’t very busy and I always saw them just talking with other workers. Instead of smelling like typical kbbq we left smelling like burnt smoke (and yes I know how to cook). This place REALLY needs workers that can stay attentive to detail cause we’re sitting by fire watched our grill burn. We couldn’t even get their attention ourself cause they made sure to be far from all the tables and be more towards the restrooms to talk. I even wondered how they managed during a real rush. This place is equivalent to gen kbbq. The food takes so long to come out too so order in doubles. 2 hrs of a dining time and half that time goes to waiting. If it was a dinner rush I’d understand. The food is good but the service made it a waste. Also the girls will not move from the walkway when customers are trying to pass. They were talking and being in the way and didn’t attempt to move when they seen us trying to leave this damn place.
This place is a joke and full of disrespectful workers. Hire someone who can actually turn on...
