How many times have I ordered here in the past 3 years? Countless times! I have actually never eaten at another sushi spot - however tonight was the last time. I have a sesame allergy and every single time I order, I put in the names section NO SESAME SEEDS. Every single time the order came as requested. Tonight, New Year’s Eve, I placed another order for my family of 6 and get home to find sesame seeds in everything. I called and they tell me that I’m wrong, that I did something wrong, that their system has not changed and proceeded to tell me how what I’m telling them was incorrect. The girl on the phone went back and forth with a manager who would not get on the phone with me. After 5 minutes of going back and forth, I said - so you’re not even going to try to make this right? You’re not offering to make it right you’re just going to argue with me? She spoke to the manager again who now decided to remake the order and have me drive back to pick up. I did not want to drive back on NYE and simply asked them to refund half of the order as an inconvenience. She said it was a policy to not refund the order but to remake it. It didn’t make business sense but okay… I’ll drive back. 5 minutes later they called and asked me to bring back all of the sushi that I had picked up! How tacky of them to do this. Do they think I’m trying to get free food? Are they going to give it to the next order? Are they so petty? I am not a person who goes to the reviews to vent, but this was really poor business. Not owning the mistake, arguing with a customer, inconveniencing a customer, making a bad business decision, quoting policies that they admitted do not exist, and accusing a customer of lying and cheating. I will leave the judgment to whoever sees this. I asked how long the wait would be for three people, and they said it would be about 25-30 minutes. We waited for about 40 minutes until they were ready. I was told that it would take another 30 minutes to get any food with sashimi. I did not want to waste my previous 40 minutes, so I said okay. When we were sitted, I ordered two starters and three main dishes because I knew it would take some time until we could get our main dishes. We received one of the starters and my son's main dish. My son finished his, and almost an hour passed at the moment. I asked a server what happened to my order, but he said, "I'm quite busy right now, so I'll come back when I can check your order." The server came back in several minutes. I said, "it's been almost an hour since I ordered." He answered, "Do you want to talk to the manager?" I said yes. The manager came and said, "We are very busy, and everyone here is waiting, too. It's not just you. We have six chefs and they are all working hard. There is nothing I can do." I said, "I'm not saying that you should bring my food faster. Nobody has come to me and said anything until I had to talk to somebody." The manager then said, "You can go to somewhere else, and I can understand that." I told him that I would like to cancel the remaining orders and just pay for whatever we had. He said "It's okay. You can go to somewhere else, I can understand. If you want, you can finish the food and leave." I said I would pay for what I had. Then, the server brought another STARTER.
