I order from Jimmy John's a lot and I won't be going back. I've been sitting on the couch with my daughter after a super long day at work, trying to spend time with her so I order food so I don't have to break away to cook dinner because I got off late. I waited for over an hour for my food to show up, finally checked the app and it says it was delivered. I've been sitting by the door with my child playing and watching TV the ENTIRE time. I have not so much as left to pee since I placed the order. So I call to let them know that my order is saying delivered but I never got a knock, doorbell ring, I have a ring camera, there's no footage of anyone dropping off an order. I figured maybe they were just running behind, hit a wrong button, whatever no big deal. After he said that the order was in fact "delivered" I asked for a refund because it was my kids bedtime and she couldn't stay up to wait for the order to get here. He was okay with doing the refund, that wasn't an issue. But first he said if I wanted a copy of the refund I'd need to drive down to get it. I asked him if he could email or text it to me because I'm visually disabled, I can't drive but I need the receipt. That's when he started getting a little short but it wasn't until I noticed it was $7 short that he got hostile. I don't know if it was the driver on the phone, but he snapped at me and said that they won't refund the tip even though the driver never delivered the order and that he wasn't going to argue with me about it. There was no explanation, no attempt at resolution at all, just "I'm not refunding that and I'm not going to argue with you about it.". I am actually appalled. Because I refuse to believe that was a manager on the phone he never said his name when he answered, it was the man taking complaints around 6:30pm on 9/3/2024, a woman initially answered the phone and handed it off to him (she was nice and helpful). If that was a manager, even more reason to never go back. Also if he's a manager, I hope the employees under him know that there's plenty of places they can work that have better managers and based on his demeanor, a MUCH better environment. If his behavior is like that with customers you just know he's an awful coworker and/or manager... Read moreWe are frequent customers of the Redmond, Oregon location. An occasional error on an order happens, and is usually taken care of appropriately with no problem. However our latest experience was a three sandwich order and all three were made incorrectly. When brought to their attention about the first sandwich, the young man making sandwiches was happy to correct the mistake, a lady behind the counter rudely joined in on the conversation from across the prep area, and told me to throw the sandwich away they don’t take them back. I get that, but the proper thing to do is to take it back, dispose of it, and remake the sandwich. When we realized the other two sandwiches were also wrong, she demanded to see our receipt, which was not a problem as it showed the correct way the sandwiches were ordered. One sandwich was made missing items that are on the menu, the other two included items that we asked to have left off due to food allergies, so our requests were not unreasonable. We only needed one sandwich remade and just asked for a little container of the peppers left off of the one sandwich, and we were willing to take the tomatoes off of the other, so again not unreasonable. Not sure who this lady was, but she needs more customer service training. It was busy when I ordered, but he immediately started my sandwich as I was finishing paying, asking me all sorts of questions about exactly how I’d like my sandwich, even letting me check the amount of mayo he’d put to make sure it wasn’t too much (I always order light mayo). I had come in having a bad day, and he went above and beyond to make sure my sandwich was perfect… plus, I was in and out in under 4 minutes! He told me he hoped I enjoyed my meal, and that I have a great rest of my day. I walked out with a smile on my face, and though I’ve never left a review of a restaurant before, I called the store to get his name, because I felt this employee & store needs to be recognized.
