TLDR: excellent proportions and pasta to protein ratios. Parking: street side. Atmosphere: casual but can be dressy. A nice place to dine with a loved on or a double date. Dining area is small and there is very limited outdoor seating. Menu: descriptive text on legal size paper. Service: staff are very attentive and keep your glasses full. Order at the table, check will be brought to you. Complimentary Bread and Butter: bread is served cold and is flavorless without the butter. The butter is ever so slightly lightly salted. Bruschetta: very crunchy and hard bread--almost like a thick cracker. The bruschetta was very refreshing and had a nice tang. I love the capers in there! Shrimp tower: 6 prawns stacked on one another. Smoke Salmon Linguine: a bit on the salty side for me but the flavor was delicious and the salmon proportion was generous--an even ratio of salmon and pasta so you're guaranteed to have salmon in every bite as opposed to some places that give you pasta with a sprinkle of salmon. The sauce is a cream cause but it is not thick--it's more of a dressing with a light tang from the capers. Tiramisu: whoa, this is some strong stuff. The bottom sponge layer is absolute drenched in rum. You really taste the alcohol in this one. A bit strong for me but the sponge and the Mascarpone was great.

I recently celebrated my wedding anniversary at an enchanting Italian restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere, adorned with rustic decor and soft, romantic lighting. The service was impeccable. Our waiter was attentive. We began ordering a bottle of wine and started with the special butternut squash soup that was so rich and creamy, a Caesar Salad and their signature Spicy Shrimp Tower. For the main course, I indulged in the “Wife’s Favorite” dish with penne, cremini mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes with garlic and basil in their signature pink sauce layered with chicken on top. My wife enjoyed the special of the evening which was halibut with carrots, asparagus and mashed potatoes. Each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with authentic Italian flavors. Overall, for the second time, this restaurant delivered an exceptional dining experience that celebrated both our love and the rich traditions of Italian cuisine. I cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone looking to create lasting memories over a beautifully crafted meal.

Great low key Italian restaurant perfect for a date night or if you’re on a diet.

I admit that usually when I want Italian food, I just want to mainline a dump truck load of pasta and meat covered in cream sauce and a blanket of Parmesan cheese and then pass out shortly afterwards. My favourite Italian restaurants tend to cater to this ungentlemanly habit of mine, but this one denies me from following through with my worst tendencies while still satisfying the beast within.

Glancing at the menu, you might first get the impression that the food here is kind of boring. Meat and cheese appear very sparingly and there are a number of Italian classics missing like chicken Parmesan, eggplant Parmesan, lasagna, calamari, pizza, veal, and probably many more. Blasphemy!

I passed this place over for a while for exactly that reason, but me and my wife finally took a chance here the other day and I’m glad we did.

The place is in a really quiet part of town and I get the feeling not many people know about it. It was an evening on a weekend and we didn’t have to wait for a table. The atmosphere was very calm, warm and relaxing and the interior looked nice. The building is older and isn’t like most new places around here these days that are modern, metal and concrete. It was a proper dining room indeed and it felt refreshingly fancy without being overly pretentious.

The menu and portion sizes are a little more restrained than other Italian places I frequent, but the food is great and the prices aren’t too outrageous.

I got the Linguine Rustica and even though it wasn’t the obscenely large plate of food I tend to go after, it was absolutely delicious, hit all the right spots and I wasn’t still hungry afterwards.

My wife got one of the other pasta dishes and loved it. We got also got some wine which very good and reasonably priced.

The staff was also very welcoming, personable and attentive.

Even though they didn’t have some of the classics that you would normally expect from an Italian restaurant and they’re a little conservative with the meat and cheese, their food is subtly sophisticated and will absolutely satisfy a craving for Italian and you’ll feel like a civilised human being while eating it.

I imagine if you were to take a first date here they would be impressed. You won’t gross them out by eating too much and should be able to perform later.

If this restaurant were a person, it would be an attractive 42 year old woman who takes good care of herself, wears mature but fashionable clothes in darker muted colors, is a professional of some kind and...

Went for dinner on Saturday night...busy but didn't have to wait for table. The food was alright...ordered spicy shrimp tower. It tasted good but wasn't really "piled high" like the menu says. Basically 2 stacks of shrimps with 3 in each for total of 6 shrimps. Caesar salad was a fairly small appetizer dish and nothing special. Also ordered the wife penne - good flavour but cremini mushrooms seemed to be tossed in late and didn't have much grilled/sautéed flavour to bring out the cremini flavour. Also sun-dried tomato was too salty with the sauce that the overall dish was on the saltier side. Got lobster ravioli as well - too much dill and lemon flavour in the sauce that it overpowered the lobster and ricotta. Common theme seems to be too much sauce and not enough of the natural favours. Overall, food was OK but I had a real problem when my credit card statement indicated a different charge compared to what I'd paid. I took a photo of the merchant copy of the receipt, and it was a few dollars less than what was posted in my credit card statement...reason being was the restaurant or our server decided to change the tip to 18% instead of what I wrote which was 15% or so. A tip is only customary and depends on service, but most importantly someone there increased the tip without my consent and that maybe criminal...all for an extra $2 or $3. Service was OK too. Also, the restaurant didn't have handheld terminals to process credit cards...they took my credit card to the till and then returned with a payslip/receipt. That's why they could change the tip themselves...I felt uncomfortable giving our server my credit card for a few minutes (out of my sight) too but seems like other patrons did that too so I thought it wouldn't be too much of a problem. Food and service, it was average but the sneakiness of the restaurant or server to change the tip on the receipt is a serious problem and that's why it deserves only 1 star. I hope the owner of the restaurant will look...

In a small town like Redmond we do have fair amount of places to eat but I wouldn't call most of them as a high end dining experience. Sages definitely was and still is an exception. While there are no enough words to describe the amazing Chef Bart's creation, all other Sages team members will do all possible to make you feel home and happy every time you visit. Sages is an Italian Restaurant but for me as someone who moved to US from Israel, their cuisine represents not only Italy but more Italian-midatiranian cuisine to greet every taste you might have. There was no single time when we didn't like or/and enjoy any of the chefs creations. I have to admit we did have some error experience with reservation here for Valentines day but Jerri the owner went beyond anything expected and resolved our "error" the best way possible. Another thing I really like about Sages is the atmosphere, while it feels old school Romantic Europe, this place is perfect for any kind of event from business lunch/diner, Romantic candle light diner or just a diner in a family like atmosphere. There is no real dress code as long as you respect others and it makes Sages more than a perfect fit for any kind of dine out experience you had in mind. Last but certainly not least I have to mention Sandra who we've been luckily assigned too as our host and waiter on several of our visits, If you get lucky to be her guests - take everything she say and recommend and as "must do"! She'll make you always feel welcome and home and her food/wine choices and recommendations are top notch. I'm most certain that any of you who choose Sages for their dining experience will feel the same as I...
