I and my wife started driving from the Cowell Purisima coastal trail at Half Moon Bay around 7:45 pm in search of Greek food. Most of the Greek places around Redwood City close at 9 or 9:30. We finalized this place since it stays open till 10. The restaurant is located on the hustling and happening area of Broadway St at Redwood City. There are enough parking places nearby even on a Saturday evening/night.
The interior of the restaurant is clean and well-lit. We were able to place our order super-quick around 9 pm. A few of the tables were full but there were enough empty places to sit. We ordered a chicken gyro plate and chicken souvlaki plate along with a side order of falafel. The prices are quite reasonable. We got our food in around 5-7 minutes. All the food tasted delicious. The falafel are little smaller in size in comparison to what I found in other Greek restaurants but here we got 6 pieces in contrast to typically received 4 pieces. In my opinion, the chicken gyro plate is a little smaller in portion size compared to the chicken souvlaki plate. For the souvlaki, we got 2 long chicken skewers but for the gyro, the shaved chicken pieces were not that much. However, what we really liked were the salad bowls that come with the plates. The salad greens were fresh and tasted tangy, possibly because of a dash of vinegar and the fresh olives.
We really liked this restaurant and the great food. Highly recommended Greek place around Broadway of...
ย ย ย Read moreDid not have a good experience. Coworkers regularly recommend their food. Wanted to try it out. Didn't realize it was a chain. Ordered chicken souvlaki plate and loukamades. Asked for Greek salad instead of their regular side salad. Got back to my desk and they gave me a side salad in a small box, then "Greek salad" in the main dish box, no fries. The salad and the tzatziki were warm (gross!!!), the chicken and pita were cold. Obviously nothing was made to order. The lettuce smelled weird and tasted like dirt and soap at the same time. I don't think they use extra virgin olive oil. The tzatziki smelled like a baby's diaper. You couldn't pay me enough to eat it. Guaranteed food poisoning. The chicken was actually flavored well but the incorrect temperature threw off the eating experience. The "Greek salad" was completely flavorless and the vegetables cut too large. The saving grace was the loukamades. Not authentic (too dense) but delicious nonetheless. Disappointed there were no Greeks to chat with. Stomach is making gurgling noises....
ย ย ย Read moreThis location has an excellent variety of quality offerings. Their bowls are full of flavor and healthy ingredients. Whenever I bring it for lunch my coworkers get jealous. Their fries are a delight and always impressive. The bowls areย a great value and never disappoint. The wraps are high quality with a sturdy yet soft pita. The falafel are perfectly crunchy on the outside andย ย full of flavor on the inside. I don't think I've ever had chicken skewers as good as the ones here. The frozen yogurt tastes fresh and thick with the quality of a premium gelato.
The customer service exemplifies respect and polite behaviour with constant accuracy. Everyย order I get has prompt and enviable service they always greet me and say goodbye when I leave, it makes me feel welcomed. Whenever I need suggestions they always have amazing guidance.
The restaurant is always clean. I don't think I've ever seen food on the floor or tables dirty. Even the soda and frozen yogurt areas are spotless which...
