Legit AMAZING!!! The BEST crossaints I've EVER had...and I've been to France more than once! Yes the crepes are good but the crossaints are the real star of the show. I had breakfast there 3 of the 4 days we were in Rehoboth. You'll definitely want to text them your order the day before so you don't have to try and beat the rush at 8am the next day. It was great knowing that I would get my full order the next day at the specific time I requested. Beleive the other reviews- the lines get LONG and they sell out of popular flavors quick! On our last day I bought a stash to bring home with us. You MUST try this place!!! The ones I tried (and I loved them all) Butter (literally PERFECTION), Chocolate & Almond mix, Raspberry & Sweet Cheese (it's like a smooth silky cream cheese), Ham & Cheese. The apricot was good too but in a different shape than the others (it was round) and a bit sticky. It also only had just 1 actual piece of apricot in it. Also, the food was so good! The espresso didn't have the burnt taste that most places that serve coffee have. It was so smooth.
I would definitely recommend this place. It is incredibly budget friendly for those who don't want to drop $50+ for a family of 4 which we have been for the past couple days here. We spent a total of $24 - and are very very full.
Don't be afraid of the long lines- it doesn't take long for them to get through it and it's totally...
Read moreThe food at Café Papillon is simple and stupendous.
However, it's a take-out stand with some scattered tables nearby.
Do not expect table service, bathrooms, or climate control.
Also, expect very, very long lines. I don't think I've ever had a wait less than 20 minutes (and often it's longer).
If you're willing to wait (and not be waited upon), the crepes are absolutely DELICIOUS.
The bakery's croissants are fantastic.
I will always, always have at least one breakfast here when I'm in the area.
It's a short walk from the boardwalk and there is limited, paid street...
