Reno Public House — Restaurant in Reno

I have really enjoyed my times here with friends and meeting new ones. But a recent experience with Jack has soured my interest moving forward. I had four cocktails, was feeling it a bit and said that out loud, he asked if I paid for my last drink which I calmly said yes. He says, "Oh, I don't see it in the system" I follow with, "I can't account for digital transactions but I have my receipts right here" I showed them to him, all three (I purposely didn't open a tab and paid for each drink separately - glad I did) - and I did not fail to mention that I tipped $2 on ever individual transaction. He responded at me somewhat condescending making it seem like I was getting upset or agitated but I wasn't. In short, he heard and/saw my state and thought he could get one over on me. He lied to get an extra sale outta me. He knew he was in the wrong and bought back the 4th drink. What a tactic. I'll be sure to avoid his "company" the next time I plan to go in there, if ever. I was pretty desperate to find a decent list of microbrews / craft beers in an otherwise desolate cultural landscape. Multiple Google reviewers pointed me to St. James Brasserie, but I was unconvinced by their website. Luckily as I was driving there I happened to spot this place out of the corner of my eye on the west side of Virginia St. Could not have been more satisfied with the hipster ambiance or taplist, which included Ballast Point Sculpin, Drake's 1500, and Blanche du Bruxelles. They don't serve food but you can walk around the corner to Laughing Planet and grab a burrito to bring in. Absolutely recommend this place if you are ever in Reno.

C'mon Google. You should know better. Rank this place for "craft beer" "microbreweries" "best taplist" and all...

The perfect Hipster bar! They have a great selection of beers on tap, the bartenders are competent and friendly. Hell, one of them even made us the most absurd shot we've ever asked for. I believe we asked for something glittery with Irish Whiskey...and he pulled it off in under 5 minutes! (please don't judge me for that request) The bar is very room with tons of standing space and a few long tables with bar stools. If it does get crowded you can head out to their amazing patio. Seriously, in the summer that is my favorite place to be. Prices are average and the bathroom isn't scary. ...
