Let me start by saying bring cash. 3.99% charge for cards is a bit much. No bearing on service or food, but wifi would be nice.
The first impression was that it was a cute little place. Then, I realized it was very empty. We spent at least an hour there, and we never saw anyone other than our server.
I'm not super familiar with Greek food to say it's authentic or not. It was good. One of my lamb chops was a bit rarer than I would like. Otherwise, the food was good.
The dessert, on the other hand, was not fresh. I am familiar enough with both desserts we ordered and could tell the spumoni at some point was melted and refrozen and old enough to get that gummy buildup on the surface. The pastry portion of the baklava was old and tough. The taste was fine. My wife enjoyed it.
Lastly, the after dinner mint was clearly old and not kept in an air-tight container. Any mint chocolate should be stored properly as it has a tendency to exchange some flavor with the exposed area. So, it initially tasted like a cabinet.
The service was ok, but considering that we had the place to ourselves, maybe more attention to our needs.
Came here based on a recommendation. Maybe Tuesday nights are just not the night to go. But it will probably be...
Read moreThe wife and I decided to eat out last night and both of us were craving Greek food. We we arrived we were the only customers there. We both ordered gyros and fries. After 30 minutes of listing to pop music from the eighties and hearing the waitress and someone else in the back chatting and giggling about something, the waitress came back to the table and said the Chef had not seen our order, so we waited another 20minutes before being served. Each gyros had two small pale pieces of tomatoe, and a few strands of red onion on them, that’s it…. Looked nothing like other pictures online. The fries were stale fries with just a few little crumbles of feta cheese. I wish I had taken a picture… to add injury on insult, the music was blaring pop music from the eighties. They didn’t offer anything for our 50 minute wait. The price as $65 for nothing more than some cheap freezer food without vegetables! Hope this approach is saving big bucks Apollo Greek, but rest assured will NEVER...
Read moreWorst service, the waitress/ hostess is rude, manipulative and greedy, price gouging customers, overpriced food, food quality unpredictable, usually not good, pita falls apart, salad and tomatoes not fresh or good. They made one sandwich good one time but decided to scam me and cut half amount of meat, charge me 2x more, price gouge me and give me half the amount of meat and charge $2 extra for barely any onions that weren't even thinly sliced on top of already high price wo telling me she'd charge me for onions on gyros that should have onions on it. Gyros was $17.99, way too much, half amount of meat than last time. The waitress, same lady at register argued w me, lied to mgr on phone then argued again. Very rude. They need to get rid of her or they'll lose customers. No one w this horrible attitude should be working in this business if they care about their customers. If not, they'll lose customers. They lost me and hopefully u won't waste ur money...
