Zip's Hamburgers — Restaurant in Richland

If BOMB is still a thing .....these burgers are every bit of BOMB and more. Took my kids and grandkids latenite during our family Christmas week visit to Tri cities WA!!! Service could be a bit stronger but very good place. Went in about 45 minutes before closing. While ordering I was explained the closing time and lobby vs duve through hours. After ordering it was obvious that the cooks in the back were looking at my family..... myself, wife, and 5 sons 5 grandsons like "seriously get out of our restaurant almost time to close" that's how I felt as they somewhat glared or stared at us from the grill. I realize it was a big group so maybe we were just entertaining but it seemed somewhat awkward. Counter girls were awesome and great it was funny to see the cook team reaction when 4 of us decided we needed another burger plus 1 to go. Dropped a considerable amount of money here, well worth it cause I'm in love with the food. Went back a couple mornings later to get myself a to go 🍔!!! Wish this joint was an option here in AZ. So disappointing. Horribly run down, from the yellow duct tape trying to patch the worn, yellow bench seats, sticky worn polyurethane tabletops, nasty old flooring, and the vent that was right over my table that was black with grease and dirt. The smell of grease permeated the air, but I desperately wanted the fish, chips and famous tartar sauce that I remembered from when I was young....I tried to ignore everything I was seeing and smelling. I went ahead and ordered. I first dipped a fry into the tartar sauce and the flavor brought back all the food memories of Zip's from my past!! That was the last good bite. The fish. Horrible. Tasted like they had cooked it and then tried to re-heat it by throwing it back in the fryer. I must have grabbed the only good fry on my 1st try, as the rest were limp and, well, gross. The tartar sauce is still the bomb though! Anyway, I tossed the whole thing in the trash and had to brush the taste out of my mouth as soon as I got home. The whole place just needs gutted...

Same old Zips, clean old and used,at least 8 people working, I'm handicap and Spike bracelet counter helper very professional and cool I ordered a boat load,3 burgers, onion rings tub and jems, fish and chips, 2 strawberry shakes inside of mushrooms, for me and I live in old folks home, totally forgot how wet and sloppy that food is, 10 burgers with greasy heartbreaking, but when you get off the farm and and want to eat something good you go to Zip's, only bad thing wet, and I think patties are 3/4 lb burger with bacon or ham which I did both, fast service, baggage West oxygen machine, help out the door, maybe next time young lady smiling 🤣 instead of that hateful look stacking packets of condiments, net no sauce, really love it if they cooked everything separate in deep fryers, bacon fish onion flavor french fries 😳but very good, need music be nice, Wipeout goes...
