Overall poor service. We waited 20 extra minutes after our reservation time to be seated, waiting in a crowded front entrance. Once seated, we had about 5 minutes with the menu until our waitress (african-american woman with red hair) came by. She asked me for my drink order, then insisted I tell her my food order as well. My partner and I decided on the âMarcos meal for 2â which includes an appetizer, 2 pasta entrees, and a dessert for $54. We told her which entrees we wanted, feeling rushed, and she never asked my partner what he wanted to drink. We had to flag her down to tell her the drink order. He received a drink promptly, while I didnât receive mine until we were already finished with our appetizer. We received our entrees, and she never checked in to ask how we were doing/if we needed anything. Our empty appetizer plate was also never cleared, cluttering our small table. Eventually she brought over two to-go boxes for our entrees, and we were ignored for another 20 minutes. She set our bill on the table without asking us about our dessert and ran away again (the desserts were not listed on the main menu, so we did not know what options they served). After another while of waiting, we flagged her down and asked if our meal came with a dessert, to which she replied âi was waiting for you to tell me what you wantedâ. We asked for the dessert menu, she brought it over, and again we were rushed into making a decision as shes standing there acting annoyed the whole time. My partner put a $100 bill in the book with the bill, expecting change, and she took it away quickly. We received our dessert, finished it, and waited for another 20-30 minutes before flagging down another waitress to ask about where our server went - we hadnât seen her at all since she took the $100. I think it would be obvious that we would need change, but we had to specifically ask her to bring in us back change (~$60 total bill) As she set down the book with change, she asked âanything else?â rolling her eyes like she was annoyed with us. I am not sure what we did to offend her - she was making everything difficult by either rushing us or leaving us stranded. My partner believes it has to do with us being an interracial couple, who knows. Overall, the service was rushed, rude, and the food was nothing too great either. We had the garlic bread, shrimp alfredo, chicken alfredo, and tiramisu. All of which had similar quality to food you would receive at Olive Garden. Would...
Read moreI've visited here in the past, but it's been a few years. I fondly remember enjoying the family style dining.
Most recently I ate here with a friend and it left a bit to be desired... They were busy when we arrived but my friend had made a reservation so we didn't have to wait long. We were seated in a corner booth type table.
Friend is gluten free and we chose this restaurant as they offered gf pasta dishes. That did not disappoint. It was exciting to learn that all of their sauces are gluten free and they have a pasta offering as well.
They had a special 2 for dinner special and we ordered that. We both selected salads, chicken fettucine alfredo and we had the caramel apple torte with ice cream on the side (ice cream is gf). I also asked if they offered a bread service and the waitress advised that they did. I was very excited for dinner!
The food and service however were disappointing.... bread service arrived after the salads... There was confusion with the salads - one was supposed to be gf, the other dressing on the side. Neither had croutons and both had dressing on them. The person delivering them was also confused with them and they gave us a bit of doubt about whether the gf portion of the meal would be accurate (this is very important when you have celiac). The pastas arrived and sadly they only tasted okay. I thought maybe it was a preference on my behalf but friend was also disappointed with the flavor. The sauce lacked flavor and texture.... I still had hope for the dessert but didn't care much for it either. The outer crust had a flavor I didn't care for and I didn't finish. The ice cream however was delicious! Service throughout the meal was sporadic but they were busy so we didn't think much of it. However when it was time for dessert and the check our waitress was ready and literally advised she would wait while i reviewed the dessert menu and made a selection.
Overall, it was nice that they had multiple sauce offerings that were gluten free as this was a main driver of us choosing this restaurant, however based on food taste, I most likely would not return. There are too many other great Italian restaurants...
Read moreGot a gift card for this place, decided to go today for lunch with my husband. The hostess said that there was a 2 hour wait unless we wanted to eat in the bar area, so we ate in the bar area. The waitress was just okay. After weâd been seating for almost an hour a manager came over and asked us what weâd ordered and we told her. We waited another 30 minutes for our main entrees. So here we are an hour and a half in. By the time our food came my spaghetti was actually cold. I also watched as some folks whoâd come in after us, sat in the bar area ate and left before we even got our food. No Iâm not exaggerating, I wish I was. Finally when we were able to get our waitresses attention we asked for to go containers and just packed up our food because who wants to eat cold spaghetti and I was not about to send it back, because who even knows how long that wouldâve taken. After we waited another 20 minutes or so another waitress came and grabbed the bill and our payment. She comes back and says the giftcard must not have anything on it, she ran it 4 times she said. So I just gave her $60 in cash and left. While weâre leaving the parking lot I call the number on the gift card and yeah it had money on it. So I go back because well Iâm not gonna pay cash if I have a gift card. This time she has an attitude and says âI already ran it 4 times.â So I asked for a manager who came and asked if sheâd tried keying it in, to which she replied âI already ran it 6 timesâ. So now itâs 6 times. The manager keys it in and it goes through. Tells me I owe 80 cents. I said no I already gave her $60 earlier. By this point theyâre all visibly irritated. So the manager brings me back $40 so I guess the other $19.20 is for the tip because why wouldnât I leave a 40% tip after receiving incredibly bad service. No apologies for their mistake or anything because that would be too much like right. Not really surprised. If the manager doesnât care why would any of the other staff. I figured theyâre not worth the energy of arguing with. Itâs not like Iâm ever going back. The reviews are generous maybe people are just too used to mediocre...
