On a road trip and we stopped here for brunch. Absolutely blown away by the quality of the food and aesthetic of the restaurant.
Our waitress Bethany anticipated every need of ours. From stocking us on condiments, to bringing us the bill as our plates almost emptied. She even asked us if we were familiar with the menu and walked us through it.
My fiance ordered the Beligium waffle while I had the Chikichanga. The waffle had the sweetest most well balanced taste I've ever tried. Fresh dough and a cinnamon sugar sprinkle. You could tell how fresh the waffle was. It came with a side of fresh berry compote that was phenomenal. It came with eggs and bacon. The bacon was fine. The eggs were made perfect to my specification which a lot of restaurants struggle with. I ordered a side of seasoned potatoes that were also amazing. They were perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned.
My order of food came with roasted potatoes and fresh fruit. The fruit was impeccable and the potatoes had the perfect blend of seasoning. The Chikichanga was one of the best breakfast creations I've ever had. Perfectly cooked chicken and Chorizo filled a fresh flour tortilla. Inside was also fresh avocado, and a sauce that I can only describe as heavenly.
5/5 stars. Definitely coming back on the return trip.
Bonus that they have their own...
Read moreI just had first watch here in Richmond for the first time. It will more than likely be my last. From the moment I walked in the door it seemed like I wasn't really wanted there. My server was Allie, although she was smiling she definitely wasn't excited about my existence. She sat me at my table approximately 4-5 minutes later she came back with my menu, another 5-8 minutes later she came back to get my drink order. I ordered a Blackberry tea, she then immediately asked if I knew what I wanted to eat. I felt pressured quickly scanned the menu and said the first thing that stuck out, the works omelet. The wait continued, about 10-15 minutes later she brought my food, she forgot to bring my tea.. she walked away, then a minute later she asked if I wanted my tea made with sweet tea, she brought it immediately. I understand that I drink fast and more than likely when I'm out eating my glass is normally close to empty 80% of the time, but as I choked on a piece of bacon that was so hard it could've busted a window she just watch from the drink station. Finally, she brought a refill and rushed my check to me, and seemed to push me out the door after that. Now, I understand that I might not look like the best customer to have, coming in with my work clothes on, but I definitely felt like a...
Read moreWe have eaten here several times and have enjoyed our food and service, but we will not be returning after today. My 9 months pregnant wife and I came for breakfast. She brought a full water bottle in with her and didn’t ask for a drink because she didn’t need one. I asked for my own ice water. We were ordering our food and I hadn’t yet gotten my drink so I took a drink from my wife’s water bottle. Our waitress turned to me and told me that I was disrespectful for taking my wife’s water. Confused, I said “I can take a drink from her bottle.” She proceeded to tell me that once I had my drink if she saw me drink from her bottle that she would add charges of $0.50 to my bill each time I took a drink from my wife’s bottle. I then said I could eat somewhere else, to which the server replied “oh, I’ve met my match.” My wife and I started to stand to leave when she said it was a joke (none of the conversation had been light-hearted in delivery). My wife then said, “no, that was offensive. He is my husband. If my husband is thirsty and wanted a drink from my water bottle, then he can.” She went to apologize, but we had already decided we no longer wanted...
