I had a very disappointing experience at Holly Philly. When ordering a combo, I asked to upgrade to a Green Refresher and was told I’d just pay the difference. After sitting down, the cashier called me back five minutes later to say she had forgotten to add the upcharge. I figured it would be about a dollar or two, but she insisted it was $4.50. I pointed out that the Refresher alone is $4.99 and the soda it replaces is $1.50, so the upcharge should have been $3.50 at most. She held firm at the $4.50 due, looked at me and asked, “Is that okay?” I flat out said, “No, it’s not okay.” She just stared at me awkwardly until I paid to avoid further delay and to keep my wife from being disappointed but this definitely set a tone for the rest of the meal. The time taken to receive our food was 28 minutes based on the receipt time, 5:43p and a pic taken of the food upon receipt, 6:11p. There was only one other table of two people in the restaurant who were already eating. Even with the ~5 online orders coming for pick up in that period, this was way too long. The Refresher itself was another letdown. The cashier never asked if we wanted Sprite or soda water (both noted as options on the board), so we ended up with Sprite when we had wanted soda water. That was partially on me for not clarifying, but it would have been nice if she had asked as she had no problem calling me back for the aforementioned upcharge. The drink didn’t look like the picture in the least; it wasn't even green since the green apple syrup sat at the bottom like saccharine sludge without mixing even when shaken. The fries were overly salty and clearly frozen. The steak and peppers on the sandwich were solid and plentiful, but it was over a very heavy bed of ketchup, which wasn’t listed on the board and wasn’t mentioned when the cashier asked if we'd like lettuce and mayo. For a single combo meal at a staggering $23.41 (plus $2 tip given at the time of order before the issues arose), I expected far better. Between the poor handling of the upcharge, 28 minute wait, the badly made drink, frozen fries and a sandwich ruined with ketchup, this was definitely among the worst meals I’ve had in RVA. I would not recommend Holly Philly.

Bad As Philly offers a solid experience for anyone craving a good Philly cheesesteak. I recently ordered takeout, and the cheesesteaks were fantastic. The sandwiches were packed with a generous amount of meat, making each bite satisfyingly hearty. The flavor was on point, with the perfect balance of tender meat, melted cheese, and fresh bread. For the price, I felt it was a great deal – definitely worth it if you're looking for a filling and tasty meal. However, the fries were a bit of a letdown. While they weren't terrible, they didn’t quite match the quality of the cheesesteaks. They were a little underwhelming in flavor and texture, but still, they were passable as a side. Overall, Bad As Philly delivered on what matters most – delicious cheesesteaks at a reasonable price. If you're mainly focused on getting a great sandwich, this place won’t disappoint. Just don’t set your expectations too high for the fries. I would give it 4 out of 5 stars and would definitely order from them again when that cheesesteak craving hits.

So me my daughter and hubby went here and the atmosphere was really cool. The young lady at the front desk was very sweet and even though our order was not ready we didn’t wait too long. I would suggest updated wait times online because clearly it’s not enough time for them to make a lot of food. The Phillies were so good and meaty but next time I would ask for my green peppers to be cooked because they did taste uncooked. The wings were really good it just had a lot of sauce on them maybe gone down the sauce next time. My onion rings and fries were crispy and delicious the onion rings did have a little too much grease so make sure in the future they are drained properly. My daughter said her chicken sandwich was very good as well. The inside is not really set up for bigger parties.

Bad As Philly is a hidden gem in Richmond, VA, offering a taste of Philadelphia right in the heart of Virginia. The restaurant has a laid-back atmosphere, making it a great spot for a casual meal with friends or family.

Food: The menu features a variety of Philadelphia-inspired dishes, with the Bad As Philly cheesesteak being the star of the show. The portions are generous, and the flavors are spot-on. The cheesesteaks are packed with tender, flavorful meat and gooey cheese, making every bite a delight. Other popular items include the chicken Philly, burgers, chicken sandwiches, & to die for gyros. For those with a tatse for seafood, trycthe VA Philly steak & shrimp. The wings are also a must-try, with a variety of sauces to choose from.

Service: The service at Bad As Philly is outstanding in every way. The staff is friendly, efficient, and always ready to help. Whether you're dining in or ordering takeout, you can expect your food to be prepared quickly and accurately.

Value: The prices are reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes. You definitely get your money's worth, and I always have leftovers to enjoy later.

Overall: Bad As Philly provides a satisfying dining experience with high-quality, flavorful dishes. If you're in Richmond and craving a Philly cheesesteak, mouth watering lamb gyro, or to die for crispy chicken sandwiches, this is the...

I went to try this place because I saw it get recommended on a Facebook post that I saw. The young lady that was in there recommended what we had she was very friendly. I went to try out the chicken Philly because I don’t eat beef so we ordered a chicken Philly combo a five wing combo. And then my daughter got a regular Philly cheesesteak combo. My chicken Philly was disgusting. It tasted as if they had wiped the grill off with an old dish rag as well as canned chicken. It just was not tasty at all I and then my daughter got a regular Philly cheesesteak combo. My chicken Philly was disgusting. It tasted as if they had wiped the grill off with an old dish rag canned chicken. I threw my food out immediately after opening it up in the parking lot thinking I was going to enjoy the chicken wings. My baby daughter got were hard and dry. She didn’t eat those either. She bit one wing and trash. It went the only thing that was good Was the cranberry Gingerale and the fries that came with my combo I think it’s safe to say I will not try...
